Was 0.1 no Gosan involved in a controversy?

Honestly, I actually like that Midorikawa, even though he was thinking about disbanding or leaving the band because of this situation, was like come on, this is his own band. And he basically went, ‘WTF, why should people who don’t even come to my lives tell me what to do?’

The situation with the red-haired girl is, of course, kind of lol and cringe, especially if those tweets about her forcing people to hand over ticket numbers 1–10 just so she can stand in the front row are true. But let’s be honest… does anyone besides hardcore fans even want to be in the front row voluntarily? Not everyone wants to learn furi, not everyone wants to headbang just to show that you’re the “main” fan there, not everyone wants close interaction with the musicians in any way… As experience- yes maybe one-two times, but hardcore fans even touring with the band not to miss a single event. Kind of “no life” (except the band worship) smell, huh…

I have really mixed feelings about all this, I’d actually be interested to hear other opinions. I’m not really into the atmosphere at visual kei concerts, and I’m kind of intimidated by both the musicians and the fans, so I might be wrong.

1 ) The singer apparently dating for more than 10 years with a " famous " red haired fan who you can see in all their videos on their channel : NOT a controversy ( even tho some delusional fans are whining and crying about it but f them )

2 ) NOW, that same girl apparently is known for terrorizing newbies with her other friends so that they ( the said gf and her friends ) would always have privileged places in the front of the pit ( apparently even the members are involved in this lol ! ) : Kinda a controversy because personally i don’t tolerate bullying but it’s not the end of the world, like, just boycott the band, them and their fans are pretty much known for this kind of behavior since a long time ago. And it’s not exclusive to 0.1 no gosan too

3 ) A gossip/rumors page on Twitter used this controversy to bring everything on the table about the other members as well :
Singer : Dating with the fan + fan controversy
Guitarist 1 : begging his fans for money ( kinda pathetic but nothing new really )
Guitarist 2 : have a gf too ( WHO CARES OMG !! )
Bassist : Clean :joy:

and the fill in drummer is safe?

yeah it’s been an open secret for so long. it’s nice that this has created a space for other people to speak up about their bullying on twitter, but i don’t like how this mess is bringing down the image of vkei as a whole…

like regular people are going to see this and think every band is like that, when it’s not true.
especially since gosan goes viral in japan so often.

obv Midorikawa is free to date whoever and the gf is free to come to lives and stand in the best spot her ticket can get her, but the cliquey 仕切り culture (the “veteran” fans get to decide who goes in the front) should have died in the 2010s. Sure, for a band with 30 fans, i’d get it, but not 3000. Lots of bands are moving away from that gatekeepy sort of vibe - which makes sense, since as a band you want as many people in the audience as possible. 仕切り behavior is banned at a lot of bands btw.

gosan is, iirc, self-produced with no company behind them, so ofc they’re free to operate on their own set of rules. However, I really hate how they made the gf a part of their “brand” to go viral and how they act like “representatives” of vkei, when they’re…not.

It’s messy all around. With her being front and centre every single live, and them releasing all of these viral gimmick videos…I’m actually surprised it took this long for the story to break.

I’m sure outsiders must have assumed that she was a super fan who had a group of friends that mass bought tickets, and they would all agree that she could be the dosen all the time. At least, that’s what I assumed.

But for existing fans who aren’t a member of her clique, I’m sure that they’ve probably run afoul of her and her friends before and just held their tongues because they didn’t want to get shunned.

they didn’t even bother mention him :joy::sneezing_face: the part with " actual members asking for people to give the privileged places " was actually the drummer ( allegedly ofc, it’s just random posts on Twitter ), but who knows which one tbh

exactlyy, I feel like they almost gave to themselves that lousy title of " Visual Kei representatives " because they put viral videos on Youtube and sometimes go viral. I kinda respect the marketing strategy as it makes the whole craze more popular with younger people, but also their videos reeks of privileges, clans, and " you have to act like us or you’re gonna be put aside " vibes when Visual Kei shouldn’t be like that, and it kinda vulgarize Visual Kei too in a certain way.

This is sad that they had to confirm this and make a statement.

nothing about the ticketing fraud apparently, people are mainly complaining about this on the comments.
You need to be an absolute piece of trash to bring out the information and privacy of a deceased person and a literal child, just like that dumb Twitter page. Wondering if they can sue.

This whole thing got really shady very quickly. Especially with the child incident and the manager’s self-exit, it’s such a low tactic to try to ruin a band that’s barely gone viral online.

I don’t really care if a band member has girlfriends (a girlfriend of 10 years is already uncommon), but the way they’re ignoring the internal bullying of fans by the staff, those ridiculous hierarchies, the toxicity of paying attention to people who are just there for the sensationalism rather than the ones who put food on their tables, THEIR FANS. and of course, issuing such brief statements about such sensitive matters…
