Yea, it was a compilation with mostly “heavier” songs. First it was just a solo project but then it evolved into the vk super band “Yellow Fried Chickenz” who toured Europe twice, but they disbanded shortly after. I think the whole project was just created for the European audience actually.
The first tour sold out in seconds and it was so much fun, but the second time, halls were rather empty because it wasn’t promoted as a “Gackt” tour anymore and people wanted to see Gackt only…
“The first event by the band was the male-only concert on March 21, 2010, at Kawasaki’s Citta Club, in an attempt to bolster “men’s spirit … and sexuality” against the so-called herbivore men masculinity in Japan’s society.”
I guess Kandarivas cover for Blood Surgical Death belongs here.
It’s photos of blood that was left to dry up.
I think the cover is cool, but it feels weird knowing that it’s actual blood
The cover got some meaning behind it, one of the founding members of the band Tomoki, is a respiratory doctor and the album was created
“…on the frontlines of the medical systems collapse fighting COVID-19”
The R-Shitei album had quite some nice tracks but this cover looked like some uninspired product from a bandmember trying out Photoshop.
That cheap CG triceratops is so cute and lo-fi charming.
