What are some cool 2000s Visual Kei bands? ^^

heyo!!

im really interested in the Neo Visual Kei era right now and listen to a lot of bands from that time, so i thought it would be cool to know what bands others like from that time period / what people listened to or just some cool underrated bands from that time

personally, i really like Alice Nine and An Cafe, but those are pretty known bands, so i would also like to hear about more niche bands in the scene

Neo Visual Kei is kinda a disputed term…
What kind of music would you like to hear on from what time frame?

i would like to know some bands from the osare kei, iryou kei or koteosa kei subgenres from the 2000-2010 time period (>‘-’<)

Off the top of my head, most of these are pretty well known, others not so much:

baroque
Alibi
RIMO with SAVANA P.K. ORCHESTRA
Megamasso
Ayabie
Aicle
CANZEL
Lolita23q

Assuming you’re into pop rock-ish stuff there should be plenty there for you to dig into

alice nine mentioned :sob:

going by the same PSC label, have you heard of Kra? I mean I know a grand total of one song from them but maybe you’d enjoy that sound!

I think to myself that you might also like Charlotte. Barely mentioned now (why…) but very important band of this time as well I think. RIP Kazuno

I wonder if xtripx can be considered oshare or something, but I really like whatever Yoshito does. (RIP)

Vistlip is spoken about with relative relevance and they did made it big for a brief time cuz of this song, but I don’t think they’re as big as I think they should be now. Maybe you might like them too.

Also I got to know Charlotte cuz A9’s Tora once posted about his inspirations, and that included Charlotte, Kagrra, and this band Shulla. There’s one more I can’t recall.

BERGERAC !! I feel like they’re the perfect personification of typical 2000s VK band with the perfect dose of nostalgia and talent ! wish they were more popular

As far as oshare bands go, Aicle was very popular in the 2000s

God I loved them, I’m so sad they don’t seem to be on Spotify.
