One of my favorite trilogies and what I consider to be the best set of Yakuza films. I finally watched Tokyo Vice and that made me want to rewatch these classics and finally ended up listening to the OST’s by Keiichi Suzuki (MOONRIDERS, No Lie Sense, the composer for MOTHER or as it’s called in America Earthbound) and they’re fantastic, especially to drive to.
Beat Takeshi is a genius and I feel like his Yakuza films surpass Takashi Miike’s.
