What happened to Ayabie?

Ayabie is one of my favorite bands of all time. I really enjoyed the eras when both Ryohei and Yumehito were part of the band. However, there are several questions that I have never been able to solve, and I would love to know if anyone has the answers, even if they are based on rumors.

  1. Why did Ryohei leave Ayabie to form Megamasso?
  2. Why did all four members of Ayabie (Yumehito, Takehito, Intetsu, and Kenzo) decide to leave the band, leaving only Aoi?

If anyone could help me clear up these doubts, I would greatly appreciate it! Ayabie is a band I’ve been listening to since my adolescence, and I would really like to better understand their history.

I also found this video that seems to talk about Ayabie in general, but I can’t understand it at all:

This left me with more questions than answers, like that rumor that Yumehito left AYABIE because his “wife” didn’t want him to continue singing, creating Belle…

As I saw in the comments of the video I left about Ayabie, some people mention that Yumehito was a real jerk, both to Aoi and the fans. And that Aoi was a “very good-hearted” man. But I don’t understand why all that is said…

Let’s also not forget Aoi and Ryohei later colaborated together an produced an album that was published in different versions by 2 different record labels, since both of them had contracts with different companies at the time.

All of this makes me think that Aoi and Ryohei felt someone united by their bad feelings towards the other Ayabie members. I think the band was “split” internally pretty early on and things just got messy as Ryohei left.

Members are all the same, except the change in vocals.

hahahaaha pls leat me read thsi…

This was such a long time ago my memory will probably fail me, but Ryohei left mainly due to band direction/creativity differences. He was always the driving force of his bands, kinda controlling, and early Megamasso was very similar to ayabie, while the latter drastically changed almost immediately due to yumehito’s influence.

Later, ayabie “disbanded” due to management/contract choices. After they went major Aoi was getting the spotlight over the whole band, there were monetary disputes and in the end he kinda got the brand to himself and launched that solo career that honestly stinks cuz he can’t compose for shit.

Also like, Ryohei was in the band for like 2 years, the dude is just that workaholic and left a huge impact, his compositions are quite unique and were definitely influential back them, that’s why he is remembered so fondly… I don’t think there was ever a biiig fallout between them, it’s just business after all, when their major contract expired they tried that final cashgrab with no issues…

I’m shocked also by Megamasso’s disbandment. They had a major contract and seemed to be doing great. The members later projects never took off. They probably wanted to graduate from VK, I guess…

as much as I love the band, Megamasso more or less stagnated after M4U. AFAIR, after 2015 venues were reducing in size and they were back to indies distribution… migimimi was super mid (and it kinda sucks now honestly), but Megamasso was clearly running on borrowed time… sometimes its just that

Speaking of Megamasso’s members, I found out recently too that Inzargi has a new project under the name “Margin of Life” with three singles already available, his voice still sounds so great! I’ll always remember Ryohei so fondly too, he really is one of the best that came out of the scene in the late 00s hands down
