I’ve been wondering for years about what happened to Bou after he left Ancafe. I decided to look at tanuki to see if I could find anything and I found some comments that I thought I should share. Take these with a grain of salt and not facts since its just rumors.

I was in contact with him until a few years ago. At the time he was still a short, old man with flashy hair and a NEET with a gambling addiction.
And I guess he’s still into Horse Racing (he used to talk about this in his blog so this is public knowledge lol)

Even if it wasn’t one of his fans, it would be someone who his friends introduced him to and he wouldn’t care who he dated. He would ask random women to be his girlfriend and say things like “I’m going to date you with the intention of getting married but my parents are sick”

I heard something completely different, I heard he’s married and owns a restaurant or bar type business and dresses very masculine, like in suits and stuff?

They said he was working at a pachinko parlor then they said he was a host. & also there was this huge thread of 2k comments and i guess someone leaked pictures of Bou & they said he doesnt look the same at all anymore besides vkei style hair.

The only rumour I heard about Bou was that he was now a salaryman. But I’d be much more inclined to believe our neighbourhood bandman ghostpepper than a thread on tanuki.
So at least there’s some substance to him being involved with a fan.
re: leaked pictures. I highly doubt he’d look the same after…nearly two decades and no stylists to do his hair and make up. We’d not even recognise him if he walked past on the street at this point
It’s possible that he probably did that at one point then got married. Honestly it could be hard to tell what vkei band members do sometimes after leaving a band. Especially if they delete their social media and all that.
I don’t know but honestly, on their most popular time he decided to leave the band for his family… so most likely he would do what his family approve of?
Does anyone else remember that online rumor back in the Livejournal era that he joined a satanic cult. That’s all I think about whenever this guy is mentioned.
I never understood the fascination with Bou. He was on the band for such a small time compared to the total lifespan of the band. I get tge music and the approach changed a lot with the new members but I think it’s time to let go…
Ah yes the “Bou-chan is a Satanist” rumor. Man I miss those LJ days of vk. My second fave is the “ someone’s nyappy” nude pic of Miku ( or a Miku look a like). There was one about Yuki being bald hence the wig lol
I think it was all about the timing. When many of us in the pre-10’s got into VK, An Cafe was pretty dominant in the scene, so they were a jumping-in point for a lot of new bands that never heard of Oshare Kei before. Naturally, Bou with his very feminine look was an interesting talking point for a lot of people who hadn’t been exposed to the scene before.
gotta guess it’s because the fandom was pretty noisy/crazy in a good but also bad way ? I was super surprised recently to discover that an cafe never did a stadium concert, not even Budokan ( if my researches are right ), and yet I always thought they were as " big " as gazetto. it’s just the fidelity and loudness of the fandom.
Also anecdotic, Bou was the very visual kei dude, japanese man, just man wearing a mini jeans skirt i’ve seen in my life as the crisp age of 12 so.. there is that too. If you’re an easily impressed very young fan you’re easily addicted and then easily shocked ( and loud ) if a member of your favourite member ends up leaving.
The first one (2010) was sold out. The second one (2014) kinda flopped though.
