What was the last kote kei album?

I’m just curious.

Ofc i can’t imagine calling say, rands, grieva, or la’veil anything but kote kei - but this is the 2020s, so it feels more like a new thing; kote kei revival. It’s not a sound that’s exactly continued on gaplessly, i mean.

So i wonder, if y’all could pinpoint an album that feels like the last moment you could personal think “the original wave of kote kei was still ongoing here”, what’d that be?

I know this is a way subjective, maybe unanswerable question - but if it were objective i could just like, google it.

In my opinion サディスマリィ counts as old school kote bc they formed in 2003. I mean kikyo was a vocalist in the 90’s when it was peak kote-kei. So I would like to think this should count as the final kote-kei release ever.

I don’t have an album in my head, but imo I think the first wave of kote slowed down in 2001 with all the big kote acts disbanding or changing style, but it ended around 2007 when koteosa, tanbi, and loud kei were becoming a thing.
