Why is modern “neo vkei” like this? So strange and without feelings. I think vkei is currently experiencing the most catastrophic “fall” I think this genre is finished especially when I see bands like Jiluka, Kaneto Juusei, Versailles. Only a few bands leave hope for the best.

Bands now sound TERRIBLE, look VULGAR and sing about NOTHING, even the vocal delivery SUCKS, I sincerely do not understand how everyone can listen to modern Visual Kei, those who listen to it are people without ears and soul.
Every day i’m wondering this question; how much is bc the scene’s changed; how much is bc i’ve changed since i first met visual kei over ten years ago.
I wouldn’t hope it stays the same and never changes at all! But still, i feel like i wouldn’t mind if more new bands reminded me of my favourite sound from the 2000s.
I’d love to hear from someone who’s getting into vkei rn, where Lyrica and Kaneto are the establishment and Royz or Daizystripper for oldheads!
Oh they’re so cool!!! “Back in my day”-ass posting but when i was getting into vkei half the understanding was they were ruining the scene; half the people loved them and didn’t know why

There’s no diversity in style or aesthetics when It comes to new bands. Everytime I listen to a fesh faces band its always the same sound. There’s no vision, It seems that “being visual kei” is just enough as a concept. The you do some shitty metalcore and growls everywhere and call It a day.
