iirc i was pretty young when i was on batsu but it was my first experience on an online forum with likeminded people. it blew my mind that i could talk to others about the ‘weird’ music i loved!

oh man. i’m only 17 and i had gotten into visual kei just after starting high school?? so about 3-ish years ago
i was always sort of familiar with vkei as a concept though because my sister was one of those rlly harcore bangya in the early 2000s (there’s a big age gap there) but, anyways she was rlly surprised hearing that i had gotten into vkei from l’arc~en~ciel’s earlier stuff

the jrock community on lj at least in the late 2000s/early 2010s was quite enjoyable. met a lot of good people then. i miss those days a lot

me too! I am 14, and I am usually on vkei spaces on twitter where there is a younger demographic. I am glad to find some younger people here though!
That’s so cool! I learned about vkei in 7th grade from one of my 8th grade friends, and I only listened to one band at the time that I didn’t even know fit the genre, but it was really nice having them to introduce it to me and talk to me about it!
Yes, absolutely! I am part of the younger generation (born 2010, so literally everyone was dead before I even had a chance to get into it …) There is a good population of vkei enjoyers on twt and tiktok as well!
