i found my music through early file sharing programs (kazaa, bearshare, limewire) and making friends on early blogging platforms (xanga, livejournal). also! there was like one (1) anime store nearby that happened to sell japanese music cd’s on occasion. i remember begging my mom to drive me an hour to get a rurouni kenshin soundtrack because i had a tm revolution obsession back then
