These type of tweets always seems like he writes them so the “stans” in his account will start with the worship messages for him…
Is not like is the first time an homage is done in an anime/movie/etc. and usually nobody makes a drama about it. Maybe didnt like the drummer didnt appear much time in the video
And he quotes the Marty Friedman tweet, seemingly picking on him (a true Yoshiki admirer with nothing but respect for X, and very possibly a more famous global musician than himself) for the whole debacle. Geez.
Now after stirring up a controversy that didn’t need to be, he just tweeted he is “leaving it to his people” (to deal with)
It’s an embarrassment from start to finish.
I notice however that the responses to his tweet are a lot more critical than usual (e.g. “You realize that starting these copyright fights means people will forget about X even faster?” - and I totally agree). Even the most hardcore fans are getting tired.
Marty Friedman is a real friend to VK and J-rock/J-metal in general.
But of course, that doesn’t necessarily focus on Yoshiki himself so he’s not happy. He’ll take Gene Simmons and Marilyn Manson glazing him over Marty any day.
He has been living of drama and victimizatiom far longer than he did from music so its only natural he makes more of the former at any chance he gets. He’s a leech and will spin anything into this narrative of the tortured artist he made for himself. The death of hide, taiji and even his father are just junoping points to ask for symphathy since he can only feels sorry for himself. He can’t even take an homage. I supoose it’s envy fueling him since the homage required creating something, and thats something he can’t do.
Yoshikitty has officially lost it, imagine all the exposure he would get if he leaned into it and appreciated the homage. Man needs a reality check, at this point he is becoming a bitter hasbeen
And find someone to talk to, who is not one of the usual sycophants. For all the exasperation I feel at his antics, this latest outing has the hallmarks of unhealthy rumination by someone with too much time on their hands and not much to ground them to reality.
If Reddit is to be believed, this song is now unavailable in Japan due to copyright infringement. YOSHIKI’s lawyers went after this song for its similarities to Kurenai.
Yoshiki don’t be a wanker. Put the song back and enjoy the tribute.
Yes, if I select a Japan server on my vpn says “page not available (website)/album not found (app)”. He really needs to get away from all his yes-men around and go back to really… unless this is his reallity now…
Wonder if everything will be solved if they offer him to make a cameo in the anime.
After the cringefest with “the last rockstars”… that he didn’t even try with (to be honest all their songs and even the title track were shitty….) and now all this mess on twitter.
Someone else also mentioned it, but Yoshiki is singlehandedly destroying the legacy of X Japan. I beg you Yoshiki just lay low, be quiet, write music and chill. I (we) can’t take one more embarrassing blunder..
not related to the topic at hand but i found it funny that he delayed his streaming tv show thing for at least a year and cut out marilyn manson from it because the allegations against him came out when it was being promoted, but then at the same time he keeps posting about being ivanka trump’s drum teacher and posting selfies with elon musk
We deeply apologize for the concern caused to everyone regarding the song “Hunting Soul” from the TV anime “Dandadan.”
This song was created with the aim of expressing the passion of YOSHIKI and X JAPAN, whom the entire production team greatly respects, in the anime. We also hope that the musical direction will match the story and scenes of the “Dandadan” anime and further enhance the quality of the work.
However, we did not consider providing prior explanation to YOSHIKI and X JAPAN, and we sincerely apologize for any concern this may have caused. We are currently in constructive discussions with all parties involved regarding rights.
We have already spoken with YOSHIKI about this matter, and we are using this opportunity to consider creative initiatives together for the future.
We would like to once again offer our deepest apologies to YOSHIKI, X JAPAN, and all fans, as well as Dandadan fans and all those involved, for the concern we have caused. We hope you will continue to support this series with kindness.
I’m sure in Japan they’ve got to toe the line with Yoshiki. It’s pretty clear that he’s got significant shares in Sony & and possible other entertainment ventures (this is my personal conjecture), and that’s how he’s able to coax his projects into the American market when there’s been no interest towards them by any discernible member of the average public.
