giving your jackets braids is quite a vibe
Damn, these guys have quite the release schedule. Props.
Nao has had problems:
""I was really unsure about writing this because I don’t want to worry you or make it sound like an excuse. But since it’s something I need you to understand regarding my live performances from now on, I decided to share it with the approval of my bandmates and our manager.
For a long time, I’ve had chronic neck pain, but I always thought it was just part of performing live and took care of it the best I could. However, since the beginning of this year, I started feeling pain extending from my left shoulder down to my arm. I went to a chiropractic clinic, and they referred me to a larger orthopedic hospital, where I was diagnosed with a cervical disc herniation.
According to what I found on Google, it’s a condition where part of a spinal disc bulges out and presses against the nerves, causing pain in various areas.
Right now, it’s not too severe, so I don’t need surgery or hospitalization. I just have to take medication and monitor the condition before deciding how to start rehabilitation. The only strict restriction is that I can’t do headbanging at all.
Live performances are all about intensity.
Ever since I gave my performances the concept of “the beauty in chaos,” I’ve loved the process of embodying that philosophy on stage. I enjoyed leading everyone into synchronized headbanging, expressing emotions through intensity, and shaping each song with dynamic shifts in energy.
That’s what I’ve spent over ten years building.
Now, losing that natural form of self-expression… rather than feeling sad, I feel frustrated. I’m like, “What do I do now?” But I’ve also been thinking about exploring new performance styles, so I’ll take this as an opportunity to evolve.
About what comes next.
Fortunately, I don’t feel pain when playing the bass. That’s a huge relief.
This isn’t a life-threatening condition or anything, so I’ll still be able to play in front of you. I can’t say anything for sure yet, since I’m still in the observation phase, but in mild cases, rehabilitation and strengthening the muscles around the cervical spine can lead to improvement. So instead of pushing myself and making things worse, I plan to adapt my performance accordingly.
This is to prevent the condition from worsening to the point where I can’t perform anymore. It’s also so I can continue playing bass in XANVALA until I’m an old man.
So if you see me not moving as intensely as before, please don’t misunderstand and think that I’m unmotivated or bored.
I’ll make sure to find new ways to entertain you.
Also, the platform that Misui passed on to me has been super useful lately, and I already have several ideas in mind.
One more thing.
If I were in your position, I’d probably be worried too, so I understand if you feel that way. But please don’t worry too much.
Phrases like “I’ll do it for you” are completely off-limits, okay? Seriously.
This is simply the result of giving my all to the band. It’s proof of my dedication.
I don’t want to use my injury as an excuse to slack off. I don’t want to open that door.
When you’ve been in a high-energy band for this long, it’s only natural that your body starts to wear down. But instead of seeing it negatively, I’m taking this as a chance to discover a new version of myself.
I’m going to face this with a positive mindset and become even cooler than before.
And if we talk about the bright side… I’ve always prioritized performance over playing, so my bass skills will probably improve.
So look forward to the next #3.
I’ll be playing while looking straight at all of you.
I’ll also be able to do more chorus parts… maybe I should start taking vocal lessons with Genki-sensei?
Oh, and if you see me on stage looking like, “I wanna headbang so bad!!” please do it for me. (But take care of yourselves, okay?)
Finally.
Please don’t take this as a negative thing.
Think of it as the beginning of my evolution as a bassist.
Don’t hesitate to give this post a like. Thanks for your support!
And if you know any good care methods or stretches for this, I’d really appreciate it if you shared them with me.
Thanks for reading all the way to the end.“”

to only get as preview the wooh hooh parts is criminal.
Not their strongest effort imo, I feel like I’ve heard that many times from them. But I gotta respect the hustle, they are truly non stop.
