For the past four years, they’ve been creating completely different and diverse music. I could say that most bands recycle the same motifs and harmonies for years, but that’s definitely not the case with them.
for the past 4 years theyve barely been creating music at all is what i am complaining about specifically, they used to make more music in their first year as a band than they have in the last 4 years and all their live shows are riding on the music they released in their early days
They do still come up with some pretty good stuff now and then but it’s just a shame that their good stuff now is not a patch on their early stuff… I do enjoy some of the later songs, but a lot are just like “yeah that was ok” rather than leaving you like “whoa”. RED falls into the “ok” category, not bad, not great… and except the first like 4 seconds Lime literally does not stfu for the entire song. Obviously a song is expected to have vocals, but he’s just constant in this one… Give us a break plz tnx.
But it’s a matter of taste. I love the old songs, but I like the new direction more; they always had their identity, but now they don’t fit at all into any vkei categories, and I like that. The vocals in RED are exactly what thrill me, Lime is damn good in this style. But I like the song more live. If you haven’t heard, they will upload it on YouTube tomorrow. Also I enjoy My Bitch. I do love Kiyoharu, and the melody is in his spirit, but the sound is Kizu style. I hope they’ll release it one day.
