What a limiting mentality. Yes, lump us all together because you had a few harassers two years ago. Even when it feels like the scene hates you, the truth is most of us don’t care, but it feels shit to be lumped in with these harassers. Aren’t there obnoxious local fans too? Just continue to block them as always.
Since we live in an age where everyone feels free to play the critic, sometimes the best role to play is the deaf-mute. Don’t starve the troll, suffocate the troll. “Ignorance is bliss” is that type of advice that seems like a trite saying but ages really well. I am no musician, but I’ve had posts of mine cropped out of context and circulated on Twitter with vitriolic responses about how I didn’t have the place or the knowledge to speak. Tons of people actively hate on the forums and networks I’ve spent half my life building and contributing to. People in private groups actively shitting on me and my friends. A lot of people just don’t like me.
Guess what? I don’t give a fuck.
Embody this mentality. I find it difficult to believe overseas fans are still coming after you almost two years later. I haven’t heard or seen anything in ages. Evict the specter in your mind and move on to doing what you do best.
Also, support local musicians and play VK tunes in your next rant instead!

He literally got lots of restrictions on Instagram and got his work affected because some guys from TikTok just decided to report him for no reason, and still receiving sensitive content and nonsense accusations.

I don’t like to mod in secrecy because that promotes the image of the gestapo, but I got pulled away yesterday. Sorry. I will explain.
I responded to Ai directly in an attempt to stir the conversation somewhere more productive. The method he chose to vent his frustration is cringe, but there’s a fine line between taking jabs at him and then piling on more hate. I don’t want JRO to be lumped in with these types of “overseas fans”.
It is an indescribable lived experience to have the internet witch hunt you, much less to have that tied to your employment. He’s allowed to complain, except I’m only aware of the situation from almost two years ago which isn’t worth rehashing. If he’s not currently being harassed, it opens up old wounds. If he is currently being harassed, he lets his harassers know it’s working. I don’t see a winning situation from that post, unless he’s going by the mantra of no attention is bad attention, which is dumb. Whomever noted alternative ways of handling this earlier in the thread is 100% correct.
