So much for the profile stuff.

I know most of you know about the band and opinions are controverse.

For me, I never listened to any of the bands the members had been in before so there hadn’t been any expectations built upon the music they had been making before. All that I can say is that I love them to an extent I never thought would happen again. But it did.

Music wise I’ve been listening to Ryo’s previous bands a lot by now, too. I can see where some of the opinions are coming from even though it makes me love Azavana any less.
Still need to get to Ashmaze. at least, too, maybe the others as well.
Ah, actually that’s just partly true. There are two songs by BLESSCODE I’m frequently listening to and that for many years already, like I do remember that one title from C"LOW"N and that I’ve been listening to it at the end of 2000s or early 2010s already, I don’t remember it really though.

So there’s quite some history to the members and that’s why I’m creating this thread in the first place. Please share what you know about them. Trivia, incidents whatever. I’ve been looking through some stuff but there’s a lot, SNS platforms sometimes are hell to go through (e.g. Twitter and the limitations of how much gets displayed, even the search function by dates or time periods doesn’t work reliable etc.).

For example, I came across some tweets like this one from S1TK:

特にAzavanaは遼が好き放題やるバンドなので
なにが起こるかわからない状況が多い！
だからこそタイミングが他のバンドより難しいと思います
(でもそっちのほうが俺もブチあがります)

(automatic Twitter translation:
Especially with Azavana, since it’s a band where Ryo does whatever the hell he wants,
there’s a lot of situations where you never know what’s gonna happen!
That’s exactly why the timing is trickier than in other bands, I think
(but honestly, that’s the side that gets me even more hyped up))

I updated the first post with their discography and intend to add what’s to come in the future (didn’t include the upcoming Blu-ray because it’s not listed on their OHP and since the pre-order period is over it’s also gone from their webshop, guess I’ll add it when it’s out and there will be pictures for the cover and I don’t have to copy/paste the setlist from the actual live last year).

So on 07.06 Azavana finished their sponsored events tour 五明鏡 (gomeikyou) by a twoman with Gotcharocka. After that Ryo posted a video of a full song on Twitter, 星灯り、滴る虚夢 (hoshiakari, shitataru kyomu).
Along with that he said, that the line

「癒えない傷も美しい」 (“ienai kizu mo utsukushii” = even unhealed wounds are beautiful)

from that song was something Jui once said to him. He had been encountering Jui’s songs and music when he was at a point in life without any goals or dreams and that this made him start making music himself as well that he has been saved by Jui repeatedly since then.
Seeing them perform the song together, I think, it clearly shows how moved Ryo is.
