My word is probably not to be trusted regarding this band - but 16 good!! I think I like 15 more - but in the 24 hours I’ve had it, I’ve been finding stuff to latch onto with every song here. Early highlights for me are 禁断の高鳴り and 脱兎さん, the latter of which is basically Hai! 2. The first half in general is so strong. I’m really liking the back half as well, but that material is less immediate. The closer is definitely much better on the album at least - the details weren’t very apparent on the YT upload.
Right now I think this is floating somewhere in the realm of 12 and 13 for my rankings right now (as in, amongst those albums, not ranked #12 or #13.) 12 is probably the album I’d pin as closest to this.
As for 15,I only really like one that was already released LOL
Speaking of new one I only liked 3 (the last one),the rest nothing memorable for me
The PV is just well done and strongly felt.
After the first two listens I’m kinda disappointed in the new album, there wasn’t much that grabbed my attention sadly… It started off strong with the first couple tracks (culminating in 狂う鐫る芥) but then it’s just varying degrees of ‘meh’ or ‘not bad but expected way better’. The only songs towards the end that I enjoy are ones that we already knew (燃えろよ燃えろ and the PV track).
Who knows how my perception will change with more listens tho, we’ll see… Like I initially really liked 15 but found myself completely disinterested in it ever since (and now re-listening to it comparing it to 16 it sounds great again, haha).
Here’s a performance of 廃線された未来駅にて. It’s a really cool song so I wonder why they relegated it to a live-limited single rather than putting it on the album.
