DIR EN GREY announces EUROPE TOUR24 FROM DEPRESSION TO ________ [mode of Withering to death. & UROBOROS]

ik what you mean, and I talk about people ‘in the hood’ in a similar fashion, but maybe I am overly sensitive on the web with all the bs around eastern europe recently. and I know people from around the world are reading this, and I hate to see this ‘poland=bad’ tag sticking around, thanks for understanding, I really hope you had a blast and there is no bad blood from me rly. apologies for being a jerk and causing drama here.

Hi, it will be my first time having a VIP ticket and I will be going to the Paris concert.
What time do you recommend to be there? The ticket says 8pm but that sounds a bit late.
Thanks!

I feel like if Ware is played, it’ll be kaoru playing a clean tone, and Die playing with a flanger tone. Can’t see them playing it proper on an overseas tour.

Feels more like a JP only song tbh…

Willing to be proven wrong.

Wow I dont get some of you people. Literally can’t be satisfied with anything.

VIP doors open at 6pm! Regular at 7, and apparently we’re getting an opening act at 8, then DEG 50 minutes later

Thank you, Leo! Really appreciate it!
Looking forward to the 2 concerts!
Do you know who the opening act is?

So weird they don’t announce the opening act haha
Also: must be the first time they have an opener since their 2007 EU Tour?

Absolutely no idea haha

an opening act? what? xD
I don’t think DEG have had one since ROTNS in 2015

Looks like the opening act for Paris is a DJ (DJ AWS) who’ll be spinning for 50 mins. Amazing, lol.

Oh well, I mean, a DJ with industrial music or something is not that bad. Not much of a difference to a playlist playing before the gig haha

I hope it’s this DJ AWS

LOL found him too. It’s him though :frowning:

I could see them doing it with Die on an acoustic and Kaoru using his AC-3 pedal (I don’t think he has piezo pickups in his guitars, so I assume all of his “acoustic” tones when playing live are a Boss AC-3 or AC-2 pedal, which are meant to turn an electric guitar sound into an emulation of an acoustic - and the tones he gets live for “acoustic” sounds are very similar to what I used to get out of my old AC-2). Carrying just one acoustic and a backup for Die doesn’t seem like that big of an ask for a touring rig

Especially if they use amp sims overseas. When I saw them in New York last time I couldn’t find any evidence of amps onstage, I’m pretty sure they were using Kemper or Axe-FX rigs

Last time they were in New York they were using amps.

Kaoru’s amp was facing off stage to control stage volume.

Ahhh sure that makes sense. I just couldn’t see any amps at all. Not seeing them combined with knowing a bit about how expensive international touring becomes with cartage costs, I just made the wrong connection in my head lol

Thankfully from what ive seen London dates have stated that Deg start at 8pm so no messing about with support.

Welp, I guess there won’t be any surprises for the rest of the tour. Paris Day 1 setlist has same songs (just rearranged a bit).
Still, not bad a selection of non-WTD/Uroboros songs.
