DIR EN GREY announces new album MORTAL DOWNER & tour

I personally don’t care either way. Typically, I like when a band drops at least 1 track to give us an indication of what direction a new album is going.

In the case of dir en grey, they already released the devil in me as a single, so that’s enough for me. But I wouldn’t mind another track to wet the appetite.

Just don’t do the 15 sec teasers for each track. I actually quite dislike that approach as I think it cheapens the initial reaction to a full listen. I always end up listening for the part I heard on the teaser instead of being fully engaged.

Even the full version of Oboro feels truncated to me, like a verse is missing?

I always felt like the chorus kicked in too soon. Feels very much like something is missing!

The promo edit of Rinkaku is the worst. Like an entire 2+ minutes were removed. Why even bother?

I’ve never subjected myself to this abomination. Got a link?

Do you guys think we’ll get the album on streaming services on release day or later?

Typically yes. You used to be able to get the album on Japanese iTunes a day early if you were in the US because of the time difference – but I don’t think you can really do that anymore because of Apple Music replacing iTunes.

Oh I sure do it all the time lol. I used my Japanese iTunes account to buy Arlequin’s album the day before it was available in the states and I 100% plan to do it again with Dir’s lol

Dude’s a legend.

I wanted Kaoru-less album this time, but alas
I hope that Toshiya wrote at least a couple of songs

Die wrote at least four of the five that Kaoru didn’t write.

ISOLATION is an instrumental.

no end is the additional track that was added later.
