Not to mention almost every time DEG re-records the singles, and not for the better. To this day I still don’t know why they did what they did to the album versions of Clever Sleazoid and Hageshisa
DSS Version of Hageshisato is an atrocity. It has that horrible bathtub sound where someone removed all mids from the recording
I am very excited to hear the entire album, but I’m perhaps most excited to hear what choice they will make that results in an objectively worse TDIM. The boys are really gonna have to put their thinking caps on.
They just need to bring Tue Madsen again and let him repeat STU downgrade
Linkin Park’s last album was a dud for me because half the songs were released as singles beforehand. I’m fine with Dir En Grey releasing one single and letting us speculate on the rest of the album’s sound…excluding any nonsensical and unhelpful speculation about new songs based on live reports.
Also, there’s a good chance one of the new songs premieres on radio. I know PHALARIS dropped during COVID so i cant recall if that happened then. But that’s been a standard for most of DEG’s rollouts no?
Perfume of Sins debuted on radio and then it got an MV
I’d completely forgotten what TDIM sounded like (I also forgot the music video came out almost 2 years ago) so I went to listen to it again last week… I’ve now forgotten it again. So clearly it didn’t make too much of an impact on me
I hope the album has a few earworms!
I think that TDIM is just ok while my girlfriend says that it is one of the better diru songs she has heard so far. She loves the chorus as it (in her own words) is super catchy and melodic. She says the same about sustain the untruth btw

the only album version that completely bums me out is ryoujyoku no ame. they really bungled that one
There’s no way that the vocals on the album version are better than the single’s ones ![]()
