100% remake single?

The most exciting thing about this is they’re likely to play all three songs on the upcoming tour.

Imagine hearing Yurameki, original Zan, and Akuro no Oka in the same show in 2024.

Holy shit.

OMG, the Blu-ray is from 1999. Original version of the band. Let’s fucking go.

This is the full show for those interested: DIR EN GREY Concert Setlist at Live Square VIVRE, Amagasaki on July 30, 1999 | setlist.fm

According to setlist.fm:

The music video for “MASK” was filmed at this show.

So they DO have old footage stashed somewhere.
The only thing I’m curious if plebs like us gonna get this release, or is this single a-knot only.

Hmm… Judging from the title, it’s probably going to sound closer to the original versions, that means -ZAN- will sounded more like the original version but with more banshees thrown in.

Also, is it just me? Or the guys at Diru seems to embrace their past alot more like, did they play Tsumi to Batsu more than Tsumi to Kisei? Because it seems like it. And the fact that ever since the Unravelling, most of their re-recordings sounds alot closer to the original. We don’t have to suffer through “New Things” like the 2011 version of Obscure anymore, it’s all familiar pieces with a new coat of paint.

If this is another A Knot only thing I’m gonna be pissed. Haha. And guess a lot of other fans will be too considering their last release also was A Knot only…

Were the sale numbers of PHALARIS really that bad?

They never played Tsumi to Kisei live.

Oh, i mean Tsumi to Batsu (2011)

I wonder what is the meaning behind the date/title.

EDIT: ah, it’s the release date of Yurameki single.

So basically major debut 25th anniversary, not a bad way to celebrate.

For now I’m totally indifferent to the actual single, but the bonus live footage seems awesome!
