I learned my leason with Yousei Teikoku, all of their songs sounds like absolute ass on youtube and on the cd they are fine. Gotta hold my judgment on the takatakatakas
But I really happy they chose Yurameki for the MV, my fave from the trio

Why did Kyo bring back adidas kei for this… Just why… really disappointing. He doesn’t give a crap about deg anymore? Like someone said he looks bored as well… Sukekiyo is where he can dress like a little girl is more fun I guess? Disappointed

Consider the following: an argument I haven’t seen made yet.
It’s been over a year since Phalaris and the clock is ticking for them to produce a new single per their contract. They’re working on new material but it’s not ready yet, so their decision is made for them in the board room—the band will make carbon copy re-recordings of their major debut singles. The suits are patting themselves on the backs because it’s just Good Business. These singles were popular at the time, have gotten even more beloved with hindsight, and what do you know? It’s also their 25th birthday!
Now, the band knows this move is an obvious cash grab and comrade Kyo is especially grumbly about it. He’ll don his Adidas and do the bare minimum to get this done. At least the payout means he can expand his vinyl toy collection soon.

there’s too many legit really good aesthetics between the covers & the PV visuals for me to personally think this was is the case.
Tho ngl it’d be pretty funny if you were 100% correct except for one diehard Diru stan on the visuals/design staff collaborating with Shinya to get this done

That was what I was thinking as well. He’s said before he didnt like the old school VK look, + they are getting old now and wouldnt that look a bit tragic? Haha. Guys just gotta do what they’re comfortable with, i dont even know why people care so much about the look of a band anyway like enjoy the music or don’t, upto you. Nice visuals are cool for sure but you can be the the most awesome looking band ever but if thr music is crap who cares?

I wouldnt say its his most creative look but it doesnt bother me either. I care more about the sounds than what they look like.
Yeah of course the music is what matters but one part of deg has always been their crazy, creative and sometimes bizarre visuals.
Going adidas kei for such an “important” release, symbolically, is at least disappointing for me. Feels lazy and onto that Kyo looks super bored, like someone mentioned.
Like I wrote before he probably thinks Sukekiyo is more fun where he can dress up like small girls with crazy dresses.

He has said that but he is not following his own words at all. He puts on some crazy stuff for deg videos and he looks so vk in sukekiyo. So I don’t think that can count here.
Guess that comes with a lot of people here liking visual kei. The looks plus the music is one complete work of art. Both counts. It does not have to be the case for you and one can of course like deg without caring for looks but some people here do care.
I don’t hate the adidas kei. And I don’t even see kyo looking bored. Somehow it feels like the most kyo-esque choice. He chose the most unexspected outfit
