That was a real pleasant listen. It’s so nice to hear the band grow strong together over time. The recording is clean and really lovely, and I really enjoyed all the changes and added bits.
I was never a huge fan of Zan, but this new version left me wanting to go back for more.
It’s a crime how little they charged for it on iTunes.
Had a listen to the clips on Apple and that was enough for me, I preordered the CD single. I almost never buy singles at all, never mind from Japan, but hey, it’s Diru
I think the old recordings are better, lol.
This would have been better as some part of a bonus cd when they release another album or something, these weak re-recordings don’t work as a standalone single. Disappointed. Are they… lazy? Because now they can be quiet for another 6 months again without fans asking for another single…
Completely agree!!
I like them for the sake of their equipment being better. On the other hand, the recording quality is a big part of what defines these songs for me. No big production, just the rough sound.
There’s neither something really new and experimental that makes you go “wow!” and for the sake of nostalgia, I rather listen to the original versions.
The concert footage is the one of the best Dir en grey live video I have ever seen. It’s mind-blowing that they still have this kind of material locked up in their archives.
It was probably in the same drawer like the video of Kyo accidentially video bombing a recording for TV at the washing machine aisle of a department store. Can’t wait for them to release that on blu ray too.
Yeah this whole thing, including the single, is the laziest sht DeG ever has done.
That generic ass shop is just missing a coffee cup… and a mouse pad…
