I just want production that doesn’t sound like ass. Honestly their music is still pretty good, even if it’s not as good as their peak.
But that’s not saying much, most bands in the VK scene, even the new ones, are even more boring and more derivative.
I expect the single to be decent, who knows about their next album though.

What recent deg single can really be considered bad? I know many didn’t like ningen wo kaburu but the chorus is still really catchy imo.
Also everyone ‘hating’ on deg are fans, non fans/ppl who don’t give a shit wouldn’t bother.

Just talking about the title songs themselves, they’ve all been okay. The last one I didn’t like all that much was LOTUS just because it’s so formulaic. It was just GLASS SKIN but more boring (in my opinion, sorry).
Many of the more recent singles have been completely unsurprising. They leave me feeling “that was a DEG song”. Nothing too spectacular or experimental, just playing by the book and being safe. The World of Mercy was a bit of an outlier in that respect, although it’s more of a non-album track rather than what’s traditionally regarded as a more radio-friendly ‘single’. It’s odd that Ranunculus wasn’t chosen instead given that it’s obvious single-material.
Hageshisa to… and SUSTAIN THE UNTRUTH are miserably overplayed to the point where I roll my eyes (and sometimes skip) when they appear on live releases. But they’re not bad songs.
The last truly terrible b-side on a single was probably the Revelation of mankind remix. I like remixes usually, especially when they’re creative. Not… that.

Ah yes, this is due to how the wiki operates: It’s essentially a “lyrics wiki” (because it originally came from the lyrics-wikia on FANDOM, which is now gone). So the lyrics are the baseline. Which means, I only add releases if they come with at least one song with unique lyrics.
Utafumi actually had a release page, until The Insulated World was released. As an album basically “overwrites” a single, I deleted the page for the single.
If the Utafumi single came with a song with new lyrics, like Ningen o kaburu or Oboro did, or if the album and single versions of Utafumi itself had different lyrics, I wouldn’t have deleted the release page.
Even 19990120 had no release page until the day of release, because I didn’t know if the songs would get new lyrics.
So for the Devil In Me single, if the album version should turn out to have the same lyrics, AND the b-side has no new lyrics either, this page will be deleted: The Devil In Me (2024) - DEGwiki
Of course this rule is not set in stone, there’s always exceptions, mostly with sukekiyo and PuchiBura.
But I’ve been thinking of adding the missing releases to the wiki at some point. Maybe it’s finally time to do that.
