I don’t know the exact wording, but I would think so, yes. Not that they’ll release it before the tour starts. But maybe they’ll play a new song, who knows.
Look at their release frequency since/around the isulated world up to phalaris, they are probably still in that “phase”. I would guess a full year for a single tho.

Just watching the old “Vulgar[ism]” DVD and wondering if I’m the only person who misses the original Hydra over Hydra 666 which is nowhere near as hard. Haha.

666 is a pretty good B-side that I wish never replaced the MACABRE version. It’s not really an update, it’s a completely different song. Shouldn’t have been put on the UROBOROS remaster IMHO. The title “666” feels like they’re trying way too hard to be edgy but it all just comes across as a bit silly despite how serious they’re attempting to be.
Original Hydra is great.
Monks chanting over industrial beats.
Ultra-heavy parts with screamed vocals.
And yet it’s somehow catchy and you can dance to it.

Hydra -666- is very cool live (especially when Kyo wears his dumpster noh mask), but I agree that it shouldn’t replace the original. I’m not just saying this as a member of the Macabre Internet Defense Force, but the original is way more unique and does not feel dated even after more than twenty years. Plus the original lyrics are way more poignant (srs) and some of the percussion during the plainchant break sounds like nail clippers! Very cool!
Also the remaster they included on Uroboros R&E, like many of the remasters on that blasted album, just sounds bad.

100% agree. There is like one riff re-used but thats it. Could have easily been another riff and had literally no relation to the original whatsoever. Its just sad that the original has been lost in the past. Like you guys have said, the original version is so out there and unique but so banging at the same time. That “Sid Vicious, Suspicious” line despite being completely weird and making very little sense is a very “join-in-able” line. Haha. Gotta wonder where the hell that line even came from… haha.
