absolutely I think credits go to that foreign promoter for taking this seriously. Otherwise this may have ended up being buried for sure.

NOOOOOO

FUUUCCKKK

Ahhhhh , welp. it is what it is.

Theyyyyyyyy really could have done just fine with a different drummer … i mean they kinda could’ve grabbed anybody else

Like it says in the message, this was his brainchild. I’m sure they could have kept playing lives with their current songs, but creatively he was likely playing a huge role.

Well, if it was produced by him and all… why would the other members continue with a project they never directed for the sake of it?

I thought they’d take a break, but seeing this is annoying. I understand that if he’s the main member, even if he’s playing drums, the band falls apart. But damn.

It’s unfortunate that it let to a hiatus and a disbanding but maaaaybe for once someone will really reflect on himself.

It’s still a hit to the scene with two intresting projects being affected but at the end of the day, the safety of humans has priority.

In the statement they mention their desire to continue doing music together. we can assume it will be under a new band name that has no Yoshiatsu’s involvement or ghost after it.

Maybe with a name that won’t get them banned on SNS this time

Okay question i was too afraid to ask but fuck it why not

Are we certain it’s the name and certainly nothing else that got them banned

I don’t think we can be certain and that’s why is a moot point unless you wanna have fun speculating!

Haha, surely he wouldn’t be so stupid as to DM people from the band account instead of his own..? I’d… hope

Could totally also have been the ass out pictures and the fetish stuff

didn’t consider that could be the case but now i hope so!

A post was merged into an existing topic: Fukuro enters indefinite hiatus

I admit, I’m glad to some extent about these results.
By this the band members also clearly distance themselves and the bands from Yoshiatsu’s actions. Whether this is a personal decision or an economic one is not up to me.
But I can’t imagine that these bands could have been going on the way they have been doing even with Yoshiatsu stepping back.

Besides I don’t think he could have been replaced in Fukuro, because his voice is unique. And that was part of how Fukuro sounded.
For Drugs it would have been easier, technically, but with him founding the band and all that, yeah, I see why.

I’m sorry for all other members and fans (especially those who didn’t excuse him). All of them lost something due to his behavior and they deserve time to grieve that loss.

All this might play out in a way most commenters didn’t anticipate - less bands will sign with European promoters, and all this questionable behavior will just continue happening.

Let’s look at this way:

  • Musicians “exploit” their fans
  • Fans let themselves be “exploited” - sexually, psychologically, money-wise, etc.
  • This is normal behavior; that’s the current climate. Whether it’s good or bad, it doesn’t matter, that’s the part of the music industry in general. Normal behavior - as in, this has always been the norm within the genre, there’s no ethical judgement.

So what happened from the eyes of visual kei guys? Yoshiatsu was doing the same things everybody was either doing some time ago or still doing now. He signed with a European promoter. Now, two bands are practically disbanded.

What would any sane person do who wants to indulge in this behavior (let’s be honest, the majority wants to indulge in this behavior)? Don’t sign with management who would ruin your career over Europe/America/South America, who were never the target market for them.

Let’s just be honest - all of this is about business and sex. All this would have been fine for Yoshiatsu if not for Killing Daze. Any sane musician who wants to exploit his fans reads this as “never ever sign with non-Japanese management, because these non-Japanese guys don’t fight for you and don’t understand how our niche operates”.

I might have agreed with that pessimistic outlook in the past, but the Japanese fans seem to be really fed up with him/this behaviour this time as well. In the past in similar situations the reactions have been more akin to “oh, it’s just foreigners complaining”.
