don’t be sorry just accept my own taste ![]()
But this isn’t just a matter of taste.
If you had called his voice pleasant, beautiful, or even just good, I wouldn’t have paid any attention to it. But “great vocals” implies a lot more than what Yoshiatsu is capable of ![]()
Wow this look is fucking perfect. If you were to describe which of his previous bands this sounds like what era of TSZK would you say this is?
Lol I’m sorry but him doubling back on a “you never know, though
” is too funny. Unless you are actively avoiding missing out on a dude in the future who would keep tabs on this, why??? He’s just leaning all the way into his stream of consciousness
the aggression in this message is unnecessary. i, like them, also think of yoshi’s voice being great. it may not be great to others for those of us who do find it pleasing and nice yes. he does a great job utilizing his voice.
I don’t know where you saw any aggression
I have nothing against the fact that someone likes his voice, but vocals have completely objective evaluation criteria, and calling it great is not subjective, but a claim to meeting a high standard, which Yoshiatsu does not meet on any point.
And honestly, I don’t think that in order to hear the difference between a great and an average vocalist, you really need a deep understanding of vocal technique. But maybe for someone who isn’t into it, it’s really hard to tell, I don’t know.
‘coming out as straight’ is such a hilarious way to frame this especially since it seems like he’d be open to anything but i guess he’s right hard to say atm?? lol
I suport him on his journey. He is so brave to come out as straight. No homo-ing like it’s the 2000’s
And another passive agressive comment no one asked for ![]()
every three months a random on this forum comes to me to tell me my own opinions and tastes are " not the truth ", so i’m used it to it now ![]()
You should do the same and just not mind it
Sorry if anything I said came across as passive-aggressive, that wasn’t my intention.
Opinions are unquestionable when it comes to things like “like or dislike”, there’s no point in arguing about that.
But when someone makes a stronger claim that implies reasoning, they should expect that others might disagree, and that’s absolutely normal.
That’s exactly how forum discussions work ![]()
You’re still being a general heel. I’m in agreement with Sayonara Blue, in that Yoshiatsu has great vocal range. He’s always doing something cool with his voice.
When you’re talking about VK where you have dime a dozen vocalists that have no vocal control and/or are just trying to be Kyo, Yoshiatsu absolutely stands out.
Can you just stop please? Clearly that opinion is one of your own, not everyone agrees with it. I think he’s a great vocalist as well and I dont mean to trigger you but I personally enjoy listening to his vocals a lot more than Lime of Kizu…. But this is my opinion and preference only and I’m sure if I told you as much as I love the band I dont always enjoy listening to Limes whiney voice you would not agree and say he has a great voice yes??
+1 for Lime’s voice being grating, but goddamn do i love me some Kizu.
Yoshiatsu is a hell of a lot of fun to listen to vocally, but I am REALLY digging how far he’s coming into his own as a drummer. It parallels Daisuke from Kagerou, going from drums to vocals. It’s a neat little thing I noticed.
You already expressed your negative opinion about Lime’s vocals, so why shouldn’t I do the same? I didn’t even say anything truly negative about Yoshiatsu’s voice. I quite enjoy some of Fukuro’s songs.
I’m just saying that an average vocalist doesn’t become great just because some people like him, and the opposite is true too.
But I shouldn’t have gotten stuck on the phrase “great voice”, that’s not the same as “great vocals.” For me “great voice” is also connected to skill, but I get that not everyone sees it that way, so I admit I shouldn’t have pushed my understanding. That’s why I stopped a while ago, actually ![]()
So…
How’s everyone feeling about the band drugs on the drugs band thread?
Personally, I wanted some new songs on an album, but I’ve not listened to most of these songs. I think I will wait to listen them on the album proper. Maybe they should just called it a compilation
I wanted a couple more tracks too, but whatever.
