( Searched for that topic here or anything remotly like it but couldn’t find it )
Soundtrack that is often ignored but that I consider very very important to set the mood of an album ( and even potentially makes you want to listen to the album. !
Starting with my personal favourites : MERRY’s album’s intros are always legendary ! and this one is my favourite
or
( I can’t chooooose ! )
And this one on second place, I always found the circus/carnival vibes fascinating and eerie and MERRY represent it well in their music :
honestly, sometimes intros are ignored because some annoying ass groups use it as a tool to create 10 singles versions ( total hustlers è_é ), but when it’s well done and a minimum honest, it’s one of the best things of the release imo ! Sometimes I even find intros/outros better than the rest of the album
Yesss Pura ! sounds outstanding just like the band’s usual work !
Talking about GazettE I just remembered the intro of beautiful deformity : Malformed box, which used to be my morning alarm AND ringtone
It was the very very first intro I had in mind too this is one of the best thing ever :((
Love love this one ! Never listened to that band but know them for years !
exactly that ! I always had that feeling, crazy how music can convey a whole story !
This with Deja Vu starting just after, absolute perfection ! !
Never listened to Kannivalism but I love love the ancestral tribes vibes idk
I tried to listen to Janne Da Arc at least 10 times but couldn’t vibe with them ( mainly because of Yasu ) but hey at least the intro is cool lol ( because he’s not singing )
Can’t find it on YT but best name and best bop goes to Thesis of ASS’n’ARRow on ハロハロパレカイコ. Can’t beat it. Had it as my wakeup alarm sound back in the day.
Testament by Schwarz Stein on Artificial Hallucination is also gorgeous, I really like their sound.
The GazettE has some great intros, and my favourite is Hakuri because of all the sound, eeriness and creepiness, feels like a Silent Hill soundtrack song. Honorary mention to ART DRAWN BY VOMIT, so cool and iconic.
i really miss the intros in deg albums, arche did have “and Zero” which is really great but wasn’t included in the regular album for some reason. they encapsulate the feel of the album really well
