I am staying in another suburb that’s a a closer Taxi ride than central Paris but keep in mind that they are organizing busse to a station in Paris(Porte de Bagnolet) so if you plan to see Paris you may as well get a hotel close to that station.
These busses cost 10 euro though and they will be completely overcrowded, I assume
10 € is definitivly less than a taxi. I already looked up Uber/Taxi prices to my closer destination and that will be around 25 €. So if you are less than 3 people it’s still cheaper.
And I just wanted to inform the person I replied too about the option. In case they were not aware of the busses.
I booked my stay before this was annouced but if I knew it might had influenced my decision.
Uber is ubiquitous, personally I don’t bother with the other apps.
Moi Dix Mois, DÉSPAIRSRAY,AND JILUKA on the same day.??? This event sounds too good to be true imo. Versailles and a fan choice the day before sounds crazy too. I do hope that everyone who goes gets what they paid for tho, insanely jealous.
Booked my hotel last night and went to then book a flight and they were…. Like, three times as expensive as I was expecting…
oooh the CitizenM looks very nice. But since I’m getting in by Eurostar and having the luxury of travelling without kids and husband in tow, I’ve booked somewhere swanky in Pigalle
Oh no… maybe you can move your arrival/depature days a bit? Some week days are cheaper than other. Also early does not mean, cheapest. Very early and very close to the date can be more expensive. There are some other ways to handle dynamic pricing of airlines ![]()
Some friends who travel more than I do have made similar recommendations and I did tryyyyyy but wasn’t very successful. Fairly, it was the middle of the night and I was stoned, so I’ll have to try again. But I guess I’m just not sure where my expectations should be, ya know?
Can I asked where you come from and what you exspected to pay? DM is okay if you don’t want to discuss here.
It depends on a lot of factors, for example if you are willing to change flights and have longer overlays, take obscure airlines etc.
Personally I would not rely on the bus, because there are 7000 people potentially waiting for that bus and it’s not known how many busses there even are. So yeah, I would not rely on it.
I just secured flights and hotel ![]()
Flights were a little cheaper than expected. I mean, they are near the weekend and in the summer, I’m sure flying this month from tuesday to friday would have been cheaper.
I decided to stay in a hotel that is a little bit more expensive due to various reasons.
One of them is that it is relatively close to the venue so it would be possible to walk as a last resort, but we’re planning to use an Uber.
I also wanted to make sure to have a proper breakfast in the hotel as this might be the only “real” meal we will have on the weekend. It seems there aren’t any bakeries, restaurant, etc. in close proximity to any of the hotels we looked at.
Good ! You didn’t choose the most disgusting neighborhood in Paris. I will obviously be present for this event as well. I have no excuse not to go because i’m french. ![]()
I need to know the most disgusting area is
![]()
Barbès is really bad. Lots of incivility. Avoid it. Especially for a stranger. High risk of being robbed after when night falls. ![]()
So not that far from Pigalle…![]()
Hopefully we might get NIGHTMARE to the festival O_o
I bought the ticket and the early bird tickets; next month I’ll book the flight and hotel, plus the meet and greet, depending on how things go, of course.
I’m also very interested in the bus from Paris. I imagine they’ll run a certain number of buses depending on who pays.
In Tokyo - wonderful meeting with @HevnInfo
Everyone is so motivated about the contest.
This will be a great opportunity to help some high-potential underground bands shine.
All the info is coming this week.
Special thanks to @TERI_TEN, who designed the festival poster.
They are probably looking for smaller bands to fill the remaining spots so…
…sendai kamitsu? J/k
