I like that they considered it and gave a statement. I’m always a fan of clear communication.
I assume a lot of bands who are aware of the festival but are not interested/can’t make it won’t bother to write anything about it.

Technicaaalllyyy I wrote to Naoki ( I totally forgot they had a new official page even tho I was already following it lol ) and I just sent it like that without waiting for an answer or anything but Naoki was polite and adorable enough to answer so yeaah
too bad that they go thtings to do, even tho they might not be in the final lineup/win the competition it’d have been good advertising for them ( and they deserve iiiitt )

They didn’t, but B7klan/envol “postponed” (i.e. canceled) their 2015 tour due to low sales covering up with an unspecified “threat of terror” (because of the terrorist attack on the bataclan). merry never said anything in that direction, but I have doubts they’d rely on b7klan again lmaoo
ah okay! thanks for clearing it up, i remember people back in the day being like ‘merry would never tour overseas, they’d never perform in europe’ and i never knew why that rumor popped up! ty

They actually did perform in Munich and Paris in 2006. But I don’t think they’d take the risk anymore haha

I would find it difficult to imagine that any band with an already stablished name would consider taking part on this…they would have much to loose if they wouldnt win
