Mine (get ready for blasphemy) is Fujita Yukiya. Warning though, I’ve only listened to 1 or 2 songs from his JILS or DESIRE work, which I understand is supposed to be pretty good.
I went to see a twoman with kain x kein (as a kein fan) and Yukiya’s vibes just put me off soo much that i never want to see him again. he also didn’t sound good? like I thought he was some sort of legend but maybe he was having an off-day? Idk. Anyway, I found him very annoying and cringe.
Hmm, maybe she’s just a fan who regularly goes to see them for many years?.. vkei is scary, especially a fan hierarchy for the other fans, and scum rumours that are not rumours at all… I think now I’m experienced enough to confirm this is a truly Japanese thing in a nutshell (in a negative way😩)

For a band this size, you’d expect them to do something about their saizen being “fixed” so that other fans can have a chance.
yes… it was very pathetic. to his credit i think he had a fair amount of fans there. Maybe half of the audience were there for him? but his way of doing “煽り” was very off-putting, like he said stuff like
“hah you guys are so bad at fist-pumping, I guess kein fans have no rhythm!”
“you all have to be more excited, because i’m the most senpai here and you all have to do what i say!”
“I could have crushed kein back in the day, but i didn’t because they’re actually good!” (I don’t know wtf he meant by that)
and then at the end of his set, he had a soundtrack of one of his old songs playing, with the lyrics on the screen for his fans to sing along to. Except that it went on for WAY too long
also he looked pretty different from his artist photos… it was like we got catfished lol
For me it’s Jiluka. I don’t hate them, but I don’t like the music , I don’t like the look, I don’t like that Instagrams algorithm try to shove them in my face a lot more than other VK bands. And I think that last point is the reason why I don’t like them instead of just not caring for them.
Besides, I think they are overhyped (sorry, not sorry!).

I didn’t wanna go there but that’s why I said it felt like a cult ! It’s not about just going to a live and enjoying it anymore it’s full of posing and hierarchy it becomes unnatural. Even the fans have fans ew lol You can’t act like that and be normal in your head.
It’s like “ you want to be part of us ? ok, but you’ll have to think that and act like that and know your limit and respect that”. Which I think is gross.
( not that it doesn’t apply to most of the mid-tier VK bands, gosan are not the only ones to do so, but the difference is that they document it
I think it’s funny cause Gosan are the main representatives of ugly Kei. The guys are not good enough to have this kind of cultish investment (or maybe that’s the appeal idk)
I don’t hate him, but at this point I hate seeing him. Every vk insta page, subreddit, twitter acc is full with him for like the last 1.5 year and now I could just scream when I read the words “Mana-sama”.
It was the same 15, 25 years ago, since the internet and vkei has gained popularity… when you read about vkei - Mana, when you doing fashion research - Mana, when you lurking for makeup references - Mana, etc etc etc. Sometimes it’s annoying (I mean, people with their fixations are annoying, not the person himself)
I have seen people talk about Hiro (Senketsu Akochan) online and he seems to have something of a cult following. From this I knew his band was menhera and he had some serious mental issues. Whatever, menhera and all that. Recently I somehow happened upon an actual video of him and I have never felt such intense and instant dislike for anyone. I cannot wrap my head around the fact that people think he is cute One less band I need to ever check out I guess. It doesn’t really matter how the music sounds at this point.
