Looking forward to another rerecording of THE WHIRL

would be nice to finally hear them try and do something new after releasing basically the same song for over like what, 10 years already? they’re clearly capable of (somewhat) stepping out of their comfort zone, vide allergy on ultima for example

hopefully the remakes sound okay at the very least

Every time they release something new I get excited because I have not yet lost faith in them…But then I just keep being disappointed

Well that certainly is a lynch song! I’ll check the full release tho ofc.

Hazuki’s pen is washed dawg.

I turned this bullshit off once i heard the chorus.

What boggles my mind is that ol boy has a whole side band where its MORE or less of his generic Lynch compositions, just slightyly retooled. I would’ve figured that would’ve opened the door for more variety with Lynch (singles wise) but no. Its the same got damn thing over and over.

they should call it “THE UNDERWHELMING”

As an enthusiast of fishing, i hope catches of Hazuki is less redundant than his music for several years.

Unpopular opinion. This is an amazing track. This hits in “almost” all the right ways vocally for his style. We still get some of that same old generic low screams he gives but its followed by these higher notes that amp up the song making feel more lively.
He also changes them up a bit in some parts

I feel like they really did a decent mix up both vocally and instrumentally which diversified things throughout this particular track. Of course nothing will beat shadows and ultima in my eyes but am excited to hear the rest.

It’s fine. Bit generic lynch. but will be fun at lives.
Excited for the full release and tour.

But yusuke please get rid of the heavy bangs. What even are those

I don’t get the hate. This is what a lynch. is; if you hate the way they sound and everything they bring out, why continue to waste energy berating them?

Every time something new comes out they just become this doggy pile punching bag. They’re clearly not bad if they have the massive fanbase they do.

The thing is, they weren’t always like this. I really love their old stuff, so I know how good they can be. I want to still like them and believe in them because of that. I guess it’s just hard for me to accept that they’ve changed. :smiling_face_with_tear:

It’s the same reason why you hear people (like me) complaining about other legacy bands like Mucc, Dir en grey, The GazettE, etc. The band used to have a certain sound in their early days. Now their style is a farcry from that original sound.

It sounds crazy, but the reason we speak out with such criticism is because we LOVE their old music so much. We just want to experience something like that again. The band has clearly moved on sonically from that era of lynch. for awhile now. Which is why I’ve jumped ship. But I personally still like to check in on them from time to time out of curiosity.

If they didn’t change, people would say it’s boring. There are many people who, quite the oppositе, enjoy a band’s new work.
Not everyone will ever be satisfied)

They did have change from their original sound. But they have not in a while (in years). And they are boring now.

We not doing this. I see this rhetoric when it comes to big artists like Drake and Kendrick and it’s why their fan bases have become insufferable.

Multiple things can be true. We can LIKE or LOVE Lynch. (I sure as hell love them). But we can also be curious to check out their work, be OBJECTIVE and give critique. Having a massive fan base doesnt excuse peoples valid and respectful feedback.

I love the Gazette, Dir, etc but I’m also not afraid to say “hey they missed the mark here.” It happens. Not every group/band is Gonna drop hits. Not everyone is gonna agree about a particular sound. It doesn’t automatically equal hate. It’s fair to say folk wouldn’t even peep the song if they hated lynch.

We can have nuance.

Weird intro aside (seriously, what is Yusuke doing there?), GOK is somewhat fun. Of course, we already had CALLING ME and Madara since their hiatus, but this one ain’t too shabby either.
…that’s before the chorus starts where we, once again, are subjected to their run of the mill poppy stuff. Like, couldn’t you have written something heavier at least?

Inoffensive, but Hazuki fumbled the chorus once again.

I like this a fair amount. What started out sounding admittedly familiar ended up becoming quite catchy and memorable, which I often find to be the case with new lynch. tracks when they don’t really grab me at first. What I like about this one is the rhythm section - the bass is nice and prominent and Asanao’s drumming is consistently on point, although not particularly standout this time around. Also, the work Hazuki continues to put into his vocal range is evident here with a solid variety of gutturals that we haven’t heard too much before.
