I’d like to shit on it as much as any fellow member of the forum but somehow it’s region locked. Did it ever occur to Yoshiki that this Japanese music industry level of gatekeeping has to do a lot with his failure to go global?
Ha, I guess the 23rd means the 23rd in your part of the country; not adjusted for the various timezone.
It does make some sense: they did somewhat make a point of noting that, essentially, they are “International out of Tokyo”… So having things launch there first isn’t a surprise, with that given.
Is it the best method? I’m gonna go head and suspect most people will say “no”.

I don’t know if I just have Stockholm Syndrome with The Last Rockstars at this point, but I kinda like it lol. It’s absolutely braindead and treading no new ground - but the new X album would also have been that, and I still want that too so Vocal melodies are really nice, and that Yoshiki fella can play a convincing piano.
If they keep releasing stuff that is equal parts earnest and silly, I’ll be pleased.
knowing it’s yoshiki they’ll probably have guest gaijin live members and a spiritual seance to record queen Elizabeth howling back vocals for super love, etc.

They posted this like 2 hours ago (=shortly after midnight in Japan), so you’ll probably just have to wait until it’s midnight where you are (or use a Japanese VPN).
I’ve not heard it yet; while I’m not surprised, it sucks to know neither has much going on in it; I mean, at least one of them… ya know?
For now, I’m going to just assume that in the future, as this moves forward (if it does) that they will have more variety, and you’ll definitely have “flavored” songs for all four, as well as songs that is a little bit of “all of them in one” types of deal.
So far, this is more “Yoshiki” flavored. Fair enough, for now. Still quite a bit to early to be judging.
Let’s at least wait for the album to be a thing first…
I hear you about Sugizo though - bit o pain there for sure. Never know, though, hopefully this is just a stupid intro/beginning that turns into something much better…(or at least, his contributions will be the bright spot of it all)
I guess because they are on an independent music division that’s meant to be global? So I’m guessing its the intent of being active internationally?
