Interesting. Will keep an eye on these guys. I do wonder if this will become more of a “thing” in the future as i remember talking to a guy who used to be involved in vkei who was saying he really liked the visual aspect but didnt really like playing “music for girls” and he was looking to form a black metal band. So maybe BlackKei will be another vk subgenre one day. At least a solidified one.
I hope they’ll roll out their music as quickly as possible so all the speculation about any potential vk/black metal fusions and blackkeis will end as quickly as possible when it just turns out to be metalcore tbh.
It’ll be metalcore/deathcore with a couple of stereotypically norse bm techniques and potentially synth latched on top. There’s a precedent for it already in the west
