Yes, better to start small at first and then expand the tour if they have enough demand. Starting large and then pruning the tour ends up inconveniencing more people who weren’t necessarily planning for it.
Imagine if a person is going to fly all the way in from a different region, and didn’t account for their date getting cancelled. They wouldn’t be able to just switch their flight without significant fees.
It should’ve been Latin America from the start. Yes organizers can be and are a pain and all but their international fans are overwhelmingly in Latin America. They should have gone to the fans that have actually stuck around instead of trying to remind Europeans they exist
I don’t even remember the vendor for Helsinki but it was online only and you got the ticket right away in your email. Easy enough but Finland is likely not the easiest location for most people
Me-shop offered sending me a VIP ticket for Hamburg because I had one for Munich (and you don’t need to send it back). Train and hotel was like 240 Euro, but it will be worth it.
I guess what’s safe to say: Go see them, if you can. This will surely be their last Europe tour.
It wouldn’t be shocking taking into account they don’t seem to enjoy international touring much and all the issues. US is probably out of question from now on as well if it depends on visa stuff soo all that is left is latam let’s fucking goooooo (don’t wake me up)
Does anyone have any idea what the setlist for these might look like? I haven’t listened to their newer songs but am more familiar with the older ones so was hoping they would play them also since it’s their 25th anniversary
I’d wager they’ll mainly play their most popular songs. The World and Alumina are pretty much guaranteed. Kyokutou Ranshin Tengoku is a fan favorite for general fans same with Dasei Boogie. They played Dirty, and Raison D’être in their previous international shows and they played Mimic in Paris if i remember correctly
As far as newer songs they’d probably play something from Nox Lux or from one of their recent singles. Kuon and Labyrinth are their most recent releases so maybe one or both of them. I hope they play Minus from their Rebel single or Last Note from Nox Lux.
It might be a bit of a wild guess, but I like thinking that their recent setlists for the Ultimate Circus Tour might be a good reference because they’ve probably been pulling some wildcards - some really old songs they haven’t played in a while, it seems. I think the setlist from the recent tour final at Line Cube Shibuya should be easy and significant enough to start with.
I personally like birthday setlists as well. Always fun to see what songs they consider close to their hearts and also a good gauge of what they feel significant/important to play. I think earlier (muchhh earlier) in this thread I included a link to Sakito’s bday playlist!
Dasei boogie indeed! agree with the world and alumina too. I think it would be hugely helpful if we know the theme/costume they’re bringing to Europe, if it’s the ultimate circus stuff it would help narrow down the options/leanings.
I would be happy if they played Labyrinth as I really wanna see Sakito work the sitar live (even as someone unable to make it for the lives) but that’s also a thing to consider, would he bring his electric sitar along in this tour…
This is pityful. The way vip ticket photos are organized now are basically a time saving measure designed to be able to take on multiple attendees at a time. So either they oversold vip tickets or they lack a way of efficiently use the time and space the booked in order to not have too much of a delay. It’s amateur hour.
