Nightmare Announce European Tour January, 2025

at least on the jiluka eu tour, the 2-shots were taken after the show and there was ample time allocated for it and it didn’t feel rushed at all, very chill and well organized. i cant imagine the nightmare guys being rush-y about it either

i assume you’re going to be taking the photos yourself, i think the same thing was done during the madmans esprit eu tour, though i didnt attend
im sure you can ask a staff or the person behind you to take the picture if you don’t want to take it yourself though!

Thanks for sharing your experience! May i ask what happened after the show, what way did the staff gather the people together for the snapshots? (getting quite stressed about it) Did you take the photo and then you’re free to leave lol?

uhh after the show there was usual end-of-concert stuff, people leaving, buying merch, mingling about etc. for maybe 20 minutes or so? can’t remember how long it was, nevertheless at some point the staff started to form lines for each member and then called people who bought the 2-shot ticket to go to their chosen members lines. after that you just went to your line and queued until it was your turn, take the photo, say your thanks, maybe exchange a few words with the member, and that was it basically

Maybe I’m out of touch but is this not commonplace for all music acts ? I’ve been to quite a few concerts (granted, in the US) and this type of event has always been after the show. It never occurred to me that there could be any interaction with the band beforehand and I only learned that was a thing when this tour’s VIP section was announced

In Japan, 2shots are always after the show

For Gazette’s VIP stuff (basically some handshake event) it also took place after the shows. But there had been lots of tickets been sold for this. I think it’s easier to make sure to not delay the start of the show or having a gap too huge for the different entrances (to ensure the early entry stuff, they’d need to let in the VIP ticket holders, let them shop, do the VIP stuff and then let in the next category so the VIP people get a chance for a good spot which is something most would expect from the early entrance).
The venue in Munich in 2019 was so hot, I looked so deranged after the show but I didn’t give a damn. There was no picture included, yes, but I was just like, isn’t it a compliment to them how great and energetic the live was, if I look like this? (They looked the usual perfect but there were tons of foundation included, so much was obvious with being so close to them.)

It won’t be as many as that with nightmare but still.

(And yes, from hearsay there’s also that point that it’s common for the bands as well.)

That makes sense, thanks! This is my first vip so I’ve no idea how anything works, so i always thought all vip/meet and greet stuff happened before the show.
Any idea how early/late I should get to the queue? (London)

isn’t it a compliment to them how great and energetic the live was, if I look like this?

Lol so true, I’ll keep that in mind when I look at my reflection after the show.

If you’re VIP then you can probably get there an hour before the doors open and you’ll be fine. Since they’re letting you guys in first anyway. Maybe even sooner depending on the overall turnout

Good luck and enjoy for those at the finland live!!!

Can someone going let us know how much is the Japanese merch? (Towels, wristband, etc) Thanks a lot! 🩷

Well, most of the time, VIP or photo shot opportunities are after the show, in both Japan and otherwise. There have been events that I’ve been to where stuff happens before the show (like with two of Kaneto Juusei’s concerts, and Coheed’s Mage VIP session)

My experience is limited but for both Kamijo and Jiluka the VIP M&G and pictures were before the show and the 2-shots (for Jiluka) were after. VIP gets let in earlier and for my understanding people are directed to the M&G first and then they can either go buy merch or secure a spot close to the stage. I would assume Nightmare would be the same since it can be a little difficult to gather the VIP people after the show and separate them from those who obly bought the photo :woman_shrugging:

For Gazette that went smoothly and simple. The VIP ticket holders (we got a band wrapped around our wrists at the entrance) should gather in the main area in front of the stage (as far as I know there were like 300 VIP ticket holders so that needed some space) and the rest was asked to leave the venue like it is common after lives here anyway. After 20 or 30 minutes we then were asked to get to a certain part where shortly after they began forming a queue and at some point the M&G/handshake event started.

Thanks all for sharing your experiences! I think i feel a little less overwhelmed now that I have an idea of what will happen. I’m going by myself so I think the waiting times will be awkward lol, I’ll just be there waiting for staff to tell us instructions.

What are some things we can say to the members during the interactions? Like, ganbatte kudadai (before the show), otsukaresama deshita (after the show), etc? Or just a simple “hi”?

I’m sure you can say all of those things. Any encouraging words both before and after would surely be appreciated. I’m sure if you compliment their English they’ll be flattered too lol.
