When SID came to my country i literally paid for VIP tickets for a high five and a signed poster haha. It was worth every penny. (it was about 150 eur by today’s exchange rate, but my country has a lower cost of living than western europe)
High five is akward and cringe and can go wrong so easily. What if I accidentaly slap histugi and his face piercings fly away into Ni-ya’s eyes? But still I can’t risk having a whimpy high five I have to put some enthusiasm behind it…
Well kpop fans pay for the opportunity to just wave at them lol, honestly I don’t blame them for just doing high fives if it meant little interaction with strangers while still profiting
Dir en grey also did a free meet & greet at Rock am Ring 2009, prior to their stage performance. I know, because I was there.
going to a different country alone sounds ok, going to a concert alone freaks me out
but i’ll regret it terribly if i don’t go… i love nightmare and i really want to see if sakito’s waist is as tiny as on photos ![]()
You were there too? Definitely an unforgettable experience but still one of the best lives I have ever been to ![]()
Fr, I would have hated VIP and early entry as a penniless teen but now that I have adult money I will gladly pay to skip the queue or just be content with staying in the back.
I have gone alone a couple of times and it looks like I will be going alone to this too. They have honestly been perfectly good experiences
And most people are open to talking to strangers at concerts if you want some company.
You’ll get Yomi witnessing it, laughing loudly, breathlessly, and everyone starts laughing because he’s laughing
seriously tho Ni-ya is very kind from all I’ve read, he’ll understand, Hitsugi though, okay after Yomi makes everyone laugh it cool ![]()
Also, my worst nightmare ngl, pun intended. Everyone who gets the experience please share how it goes if you like ![]()
Going to a concert alone isn’t too bad ! And if you want to make friends concerts are great places for that people are super open.
Also for a VKei concert you should probably expect a few people to go alone. A lot of VKei fans don’t know other VKei fans nearby. So you’ll see more lone travelers than you would a local, mainstream concert.
I remember I got some of Mucc´s albums covers signed by all them (for free) after their 2007 London show…just by asking the roadies and the Gan-Shin guy…those were times ![]()
Back when you could still make money just by selling music. Now you have to sell experiences…
Going to concerts alone is great! If you’re anxious about people you don’t need to worry, they’re not paying attention to you. And if you want company you can strike up a convo while queueing or after you’ve found a good spot.
I’ve gone alone to 99% of the concerts I’ve attended in the last 5+ years because I don’t really have friends that share my taste in music, but I also prefer to go alone because I can come and go as I please.
(Also, attending concerts sends a message to other bands that there’s an audience worth performing to so maybe more VKei bands will come in the future)
My friend and I are going to see them in Helsinki!! So hyped, its gonna be great. She’s a fan because of death note, and im one because of vkei in general. Feels great to have our interest collide like this C:
Your friend will probably melt when Yomi inevitably gives a speech about loving Death Note. They did that when they came to the US in 2014 “Do you guys know Death Note ?” crowd erupts in joy “I love. Death Note” Yomi gets handed a mic stand and starts singing Alumina
I’ll see you guys in London, Paris, and Cologne. Gonna go on my own “world tour” to follow them a bit
Envol prod posted a little “update” on the venues:
18.JAN Helsinki (FI) Ääniwalli
19.JAN London (UK) O₂ Islington Academy
21.JAN Paris (FR) Alhambra
23.JAN Cologne (DE) Die Kantine
25.JAN Hamburg (DE) Kaiserkeller
28.JAN Munich (DE) Backstage Halle
30.JAN Budapest (HU) A38 Hajó
31.JAN Warsaw (PL) Proxima
02.FEB Madrid (ES) Chango Club
They moved the venue in Munich to Backstage Halle, Hamburg was clarified to Kaiserkeller. They also moved Budapest, Warsaw and Madrid to their original countries ![]()
Ha! I was wondering why Spotify said Backstage Halle as venue yesterday. So that was no mistake ![]()
Kaiserkeller is the smaller venue in Hamburg but 700 is still not bad. I am exited to see how the tickets will sell tomorrow >___<
That maaaybe was my doing as I mentioned the little mistakes under one of their twitter posts. Pedantic me XDDDD but I deleted it after I saw it got corrected ![]()
Yeah, kinda weird, because it said “Feierwerk” only before which has (just like Große Freiheit) multiple venues. Seems like they haven’t booked it yet or canceled it. Backstage Halle is about the same size like Hansa 39 (in Feierwerk) though.
I just hope this doesn’t affect people that much. As neither a European or a Nightmare fan, I know I have no skin on this tour, but I hope that this tour goes off with no problems.
I think changing venues that early should not be much trouble. I have looked at hotels already but wanted to wait at least until tomorrow to be sure get a ticket.
And even if they change venues, it’s not such a big hassle to get around in cities like Munich or Hamburg. Subways operate until 1 a.m. in both cities on weekdays. Only a minor inconvience really.
