I did! Check out my Instagram!
Same. I do remember it saying it’ll be with 4 other people.

Paris up next!! I’m so floored with the love and outpouring of support for them. Please continue to write in I’m so buoyed with good feels <3
so coool, you look great, so do the boys!
thank you for sharing
Nightmare is getting Tik Tok famous
That transition is absolutely fire
I’m seing a lot of “how did I not know this?” in the comments
man, marketing needed a huge boost, but then again, I do see that as a challenge in general
all those phones
Damn, whenever I hear a super cool song, I immediately find out who the singer/band is that created the masterpiece. That’s how, through death note, I found out about nightmare and then jrock and vk ;w;
It might’ve been a marketing issue after all. There’s more than 382 posts on this thread while the amount of social media posts by the organizer is like less than ten, and now one zoomer tiktok video eclipsed it all in visibility.
The clips from the show look good, and even with casual familiarity with the band, I know a large portion of the set.
Hitsugi reposting a bunch of fan’s pics and vids! (kinda wish I used twitter more lol)
Could someone explain the tonda je t’aime thing?
I never understood why the promoter refused to do promotion for them. This all looks so wholesome. Im now really struggling having to wait to see then in Japan
Snooping around, I think it was because in a previous tweet, he was saying that he was enjoying breakfast looking out over the city of Paris at 8 am and as such, he was a “healthy Mademoiselle”.
If I’m not wrong some fans were saying that hey isn’t that the incorrect use of mademoiselle?
So he said something along the lines of, “am I getting the meaning of mademoiselle wrong? What a disaster” - the term what a disaster being mashed up with je t’aime, so you get “what a je t’aime”, according to a reply to the OP’s tweet.
This is my very rough reading, I think there may be folks who are much better at explaining it
This this :((
Going from a half hearted “ehhh, no photos, please” in Finland to “aw fuck it, let’s post these!” by France.
I’m reading you guys since day one of this topic, you are hyping me more and more every day. It’s so nice to see how much people love this group like me back to the days. I’m going to see them tonight alone but you make this experience more fun since everyone is talking about it. I’ll make sure to have fun!
Thanks for explaining! I got the jist of it and was thinking it was meant to be tondemonai but wasn’t sure about the je t’aime part lol.
He seems to really interact with fans on twitter wow <3
Lol to be fair there were no signs specifically saying no photos (for example, it was really strict for ado), and maybe it’s just common knowledge in Japan, whereas outside of Japan everyone just has their phones out. I personally don’t really like if someone has their phone right in front of me or straight up in the air. I wanna see them with my own eyes ;_;
You’re going to have an amazing time!! I also went alone and I just kinda kept to myself (I’m super anxious and not good at socialising) but ended up chatting to people a bit during the snapshots. I agree, connecting with people and reading their experiences makes it so much more fun, even if you don’t have irl friends who are into jrock!
Btw I seen somewhere that ni-ya streams his fishing stuff? Anyone have the link?
It’s on twitcast! Schedule isn’t fixed but he will announce before fishing, and sometimes he does it radio format as well.
He usually does it at night with a friend, he’s a lot more subdued compared to the crazy fisherman persona he’s been hawking xD He’s a sweet old man in training xD
I’m happy you joined!!! Thank you for joining and please give them many big cheers and shout for your favourite member!! Please give Sakito a cheer for me too :"))) I hope you have fun, you might make friends along the way! I’m cheering for you!! <3
Honestly, all of the love and positivity here (and the randomised playlists I’ve been listening to recently) make me nostalgic for 00s-10s VK.
As much as I love recent bands like JILUKA, I feel like the 00s-10s era just offered something so fresh and uncharted for a weeb like me. Bands like Dir En Grey, The GazettE, D’espairsRay, Nightmare, An Cafe, Ayabie, Kagerou, Kagrra,…maybe it’s all rose-tinted glasses but this Nightmare tour (and all the discourse surrounding it) just makes me so happy to have found VK all those years ago <3
Yeah ! Thanks for all your cheers! I’ll make sure to make as much noise as i possible can ! I will shout for all the members!
There were in Finland but they were kinda half-heartedly-plastered in difficult to see places (like a pillar at chest height where you could not see it if you were further forward or after the venue filled up a little) and there was no announcement or anything. A friend said their official photographer had told off some people at the sides where he could reach them but it was kinda lost battle from the start Then Yomi explicitly said it was okay at the start of the encore and in London apparently it was explicitly allowed from the start.
I still prefer the no-photography rule for my own enjoyment of the show but I can’t argue with the results of even a single viral TikTok clip so allowing it might be a better strategy
Thank you! Do other members do streaming or other stuff?
And quick question, on hitsugi’s twitter he said he updated his mobile site, is this a paid members only thing? Seems like they all have one? I kinda wish ruka posted more often lol, he seems so mysterious…
Honestly me too… Sometimes I feel like I’m way too stuck in the old times, but I do wanna make an attempt to try out the newer bands, but none have really stuck with me.
Any recs for new bands with similar vibes as diru or nightmare are welcomed!
Oh I had no idea, my apologies! Maybe the photographer wanted to be the only one to take good pictures so they won’t be outdone by fans lol.
Yeah in London yomi also said photos and movies are ok when they came out for encore.
Maybe it’s just difference in culture. I used to want to take a bunch of pics and vids for memories, but now I don’t really bother (I might take a few during my favourite parts of a song but I just keep my phone to my chest to not disturb people) and like you I prefer to enjoy the show.
It’s a difference in the concert culture, yeah. But it’s also a scarcity thing.
For people who attend VK shows all the time because they live there, there really is no incentive to be recording/taking pictures in most cases because how would you even keep track of which show was which after a while? So that, combined with rules against it to maintain their image/maximize profits, is why it’s assumed to be not allowed there. Alternatives to photos/videos are also readily available for purchase at Japanese shows.
Whereas people overseas, who may never get a chance to see the band in Japan, may be going to their first and only show of this band. Merch options are limited. In fact, up until after Covid, cheki at international shows was almost unheard of.
So, that, combined with Western concert culture where we promote bands by documenting the shows we’ve been to online, is why Japanese artists leaving Japan usually have an uphill battle re:no photos/videos.
