Nightmare European Tour 2025

Ahh i missed a lot! (a small storm caused the countryside to lose power for 2 days…) I have so many thoughts!!

Ahh what a cool encounter! I’m so surprised how chill and humble they are, even when interacting with the fans during the snapshots (and doing silly cute poses lol). I’m glad you got to exchange some words! I hope they realise how popular they are outside of japan ;w;

THIS WAS ME LOL.
I don’t think i remembered to even looked at their faces, I just looked at their hand and aimed my hand there and not miss lol. Even during the snapshot with hitsugi I exchanged some words and he seemed surprised that I’m from hong kong, I wanted to say more but yeah I was flustered and felt pressured to move on x_x

I hope so! I love how engaging and interactive they are, I love diru but sometimes I feel like they too “cool” T_T Whereas nightmare seem to actually like interacting with fans!

Yeah about the old thing, I’m sorry lol! I was buzzing and hyped after the London show and worried that I won’t get to see them again, and it might be 10+ years before they decide to come to the EU. I need to listen to some newer bands lol.

Right, I kinda wonder why their EU tour was so tight, like they had London RIGHT AFTER Helsinki with no day off, and just one day in between the other shows. I haven’t seen what the dates for the upcoming huge tour (cos I can’t even go T_T) but I hope they take care of themselves! I’m definitely gonna try catch their live streams!

I’m glad to know! I haven’t watched many of their live performances (only clips) or off-stage videos to really know their personality, so I’m glad that’s just him being him! Yesterday I watched their bday live from 2024 and whenever I see ruka laugh or smile, my heart warms

Honestly!! They’re so funny and really make the audience feel included and loved!

Actually i wonder if they remember the fans, cos in Japan there must be some who go to every single performance and event right?? (I seen a girl on twitter who flew from Japan to Helsinki and followed them to all the destinations, and also got snapshots with the band as well as every member individually. Some other people also went to a few of the shows. I’m jealous and I need money…)

Anyway, now that the tour is over I’m sad… But I’m glad they get to fly back home, I’m excited to see what they have to say about Europe!

They do! Not all their fans ofc, but if you end up near the front a few times and go to a few instores they’re bound to remember you. It also helps if you have a distinct appearance.

Now that the tour and therefore also the long awaited Hamburg concert is over, I feel a little sad  One month ago, I did not see this emotion coming

We were quite surprised to see such a long queue in front of the venue when we arrived - but the whole getting in process was much faster than I thought and experienced in the past, that was nice.

There were definitely more people present than we anticipated, I wonder if there were a lot of spontaneous ticket buyers. This was very good for the band, but not for me. Unfortunately, I was not able to see much of the band as there were so many taller people in front of me (and with 1,67m and shoes that added 5cm I’m not that small ). I was standing right in the middle. Usually, I tend to stand in middle, but on the outer side in concerts, but due to pillars in Hamburg that was not really an option. So, most of time I only saw the band members when they were standing on something (don’t know exactly what it was as I could not see it) on the stage or caught a glimpse while moving my head to the side. That was a little bit sad. But I did not want to squeeze my way further in front of the stage.

I wish I noticed that

But aside from me not having he best view, the show was really good and time flew by so fast - the whole concert felt like 30 minutes, but in reality it was something between one and a half and two hours, I guess.

Yeah, that part also caught my attention - I hope they mean it :slightly_smiling_face:

I’m like a week late to talk about the Helsinki show lmao :joy:
Anyway, I was very positively surprised about the turnout. What surprised me even more was the age range of the people I saw. The Jiluka show last year had a ton of teens and young people, but I kept seeing quite a lot of “older” (30’s) people, and a lot of men as well. Maybe it’s because the band’s been around for so long that the fans have grown up with them. Although, when I got my ticket scanned I was also carded (lmfaooo 34-year-old-me was thrilled) at the gate? I don’t think the show itself was age restricted, since I did also see younger people there…
During the break before the encore I made a dash to the merch table and got a shirt. They had a 10€ photoset with a picture of Hitsugi that was insanely pretty, but they wouldn’t sell them separately. So I thought about it during the encore and went back to buy the entire set just for that one photo right after the show ended  I didn’t stay for anything afterwards, and the snapshoot thing was never really explained anywhere, was it just for vip tickets?
I had never been to that venue before, I liked it. There were seating/tables at both sides of the room so not only did I get to sit down, I also had an almost clear view of Hitsugi for most of the show. So glad I ended up going, I was feeling really tired and lazy that day and almost skipped the whole thing.

you were 172cm with shoes and couldn’t see much? wow this tells me i would not see a single thing at a european show lol.

Two relativly young looking girls (under 20, I think) ask me how to get the snap shot ticketes because they just heard about the concert earlier on the same day. They saw it on spotify. So there were def some people who decided last minute.
Would be really intresting to know how many door tickets were sold.

It really depends on the venue. I rarely have an issue with the sight, at least when seeing smaller Bands. In this case, I guess the issue was a relatively low ceiling which caused the stage being also lower than usual.

When it comes to locations in Hamburg, I prefer the Markthalle. They have wide stair steps inside in the back and on the sides to stand on. Also, it is really close to the train station.

Popping in to say it’s been such a joy to read everyone’s post-concert write-ups and encounters. Marketing issues aside I feel like the excitement around the concerts has really just kept snowballing on itself in the best possible way. Really hoping they come US-side sometime, or that they follow other artist’s footsteps and I can see them in EU in ~2 years’ time!

And just like that, we’re all back to reality

It do be like that. But indeed I’ve been feeling so positive the whole week. The power of Nightmare… Thank YOU EVERYONE who decided to go, who weren’t sure but went, and for everyone who shared how fun it was and kept me at the back of their minds despite me being a broken recorder lol.

If they ever actually make it to SEAsia (pain…) I’ll cry, but for now I actually want them to have a good rest before their insane tour :joy::joy::joy::sob::sob:

Also to echo @Xayide and @CervaCannibale 's points, indeed I feel like there was more people than expected and I do feel like there were spontaneous buyers. I was not expecting the turnout I was seeing in photos, and it frustrates me to no end that the other stops could have enjoyed having Nightmare in their country and may also have had a crazy turnout.

Marketing could have played a bigger role…Hopefully these are lessons going forward; the successful stops are already good enough evidence that we want Nightmare and other vkei acts!!

Rooting for everyone that they’ll come back!!

Hitsugi is streaming! I can’t understand all of it but he’s talking about his experiences, at some point the comments are like, さすが海外ですね, and that the fans were wild (?)

i asked him if he got to sightsee at finland at all, (i don’t speak japanese but from singular words i know and context clues and such lol) he said he didn’t really get to, the hotel was far away from all the sights or some such? something about the hotel at least. (plus the venue was pretty out of the way), but then he was thinking for a second and apparently he saw the northern lights from the plane when flying from japan to finland! i don’t think he realized that he even saw them before that moment judging from his reaction lol
(apparently they’re called just ‘ourora’ in japanese, i was really confused as to what he was saying until i google translated someones comment lmao)

Dude he’s still streaming 0_0 I haven’t watched any of his streams so I’m surprised, I’m glad I could catch it!

He showed some things he bought in EU (magnets and souvenirs lol). He’s talking about the difference between overseas and Japanese audiences, and he said even when they were doing instrument check the audience were screaming, and he doesn’t understand why lol. And that it’s totally different to Japan. I think he’s insinuating that the overseas fans are really noisy hahaha.

I wish i could understand everything T_T

If i could im about to yell at his parents, YOUR SON IS STILL STREAMING AT 2AM

Also i managed to catch bits and pieces and some hilarious things (a particular part has him saying about him, sakito and Ni~ya unable to identify a bird, apparently was a swan) but I’ll probably have a relisten later (also it’s 1+am where i am :joy:) But in general, he’s riding on the high of receiving and feeling so much love on tour I think. Can feel that he wants to feel that kind of energy in Japan too!

It’s soooo normal for him to stay up sometimes until 6am. I remember one stream where it was past 5am and he was like “it’s fine I just have to be up by noon.” He’s talked about not being able to sleep more than 3-4 hours at a time before, so that’s probably part of the reason. He doesn’t have a 9-5 or anything, so I guess it kinda fits with his lifestyle :person_shrugging: He loves interacting and talking with fans, so the chat probably keeps him going

Thanks for the translations! He started streaming around 12pm ireland time, and I’m in college now with it on in the background. Uh it’s like 6 hours now??

Haha I get the staying up til 6am thing x_x I hope he’s well rested after the intense EU tour, but i love that he’s so active on social media (unlike ruka ;_;).

Omg hitsugi’s stream turned to members only :sob:

Yeah the archives are usually members only unfortunately, but the archives have automatic subtitles after an hour or two that can be auto-translated to English if that’s your main language. That’s what I use to understand what he’s talking about, I feel like they’re 60-70% accurate depending on the subject
