Hmm jazzy vibes. All i have to say is ZēTēS for those who know

Legit forgot they existed

I stopped following them ever since they went non-vkei

I think the bloom was off the rose for many of those who’d been keeping up with them from their first foray into the scene when Cazqui and Daichi scandalized their departure…

… and then to make it worse, the new guy joins the ranks only to depart moments later as the devil’s lettuce claims another victim. The release schedule from that point on was sort of sporadic, and besides a two-track digital single that I actually wasn’t aware of, nothing’s come out for overseas fans since 2022’s Argos.

I think Argos has a handful highlights, but I think for the casual followers, the scene was getting crowded with bands trying to have their hand at some kind of a metalcore/vk hybrid, and so giving the new Nocturnal Bloodlust a go after all their buzz and goodwill had evaporated seemed like a big ask. It’s kind of sad, I don’t know, that this band’s got a few bangers out there meanwhile it’s Deviloof’s temu Attila song that’s got 3,5 mil views on YouTube…

Hiro like to show his muscles :joy:

i am looking Respectfully :eye:

I used to like this band and listened to their latest album today (or rather the lead track and 2-3 other songs tbh). Damn what happened? They decided to copy every generic deathcore band out there? I know that ā€œdesperateā€ isn’t a happy sounding jpop song but at least its really catchy and composed in an interesting way. I can only say that their new songs has no personality or soul… daamn did they loose their original composer or something?

Cazqui used to be their main composer (along with Daichi) but theyre compositions have changed a lot since they left. Was hoping for some crazy work since Valtz(ex aim galeyd) had joined them but nothing too exciting. I still enjoy the band but they havent given a lot of hype lately and theyre releases are too spread out now

Gotcha that explains everything, then in any way the main composer has zero talent to make memorable music. I know they are good as heck at playing the instruments, probably unnecessarily good - and the screaming is fine, but where is the melody/chorus/memorable parts???
Pepe, if you compare the new stuff to for example ā€œDesperateā€ then, what would you say about it and how they have changed? :scream:

Yea Cazqui was a beast with their song writing. I believe it being Cazqui’s work, imo, was more atmospheric (im not versed in music terminology so apologies in advance) and more melodic and punchy. I have no dislike towards their current lineup or anything, it just feels like theyve been lacking something. Unleash was a good release after Cazqui and Daichi left, it felt experimental and still brutal but after that idk…. something about them just feels empty(?)
