Did anyone actually buy this release?
If so, please be so kind and DM me a photo of the credits please, I want to add them to Discogs
Iirc they’re on Maverick Label, so MUCC-adjacent
5member band, even if bass player equals to jackshit in it
I thought their material works better in lives due to the energy but holy fuck this is pathetic
Maybe they should change their approach to releases. Before releasing the songs on cd, let them mature through a couple of lives. This way the songs stay a bit longer cooking and the live sound consolidates.
That didnt help BATMAN to become a good song
I did… but digitally lol.
The fact that seelentau (possibly the most dedicated DEG fan out there) didn’t buy a physical copy of this EP is quite telling.
I did, it arrived yesterday. But alas, I don’t want to open it just to add some credits to Discogs, of all places
I listened to this again. I agree with whomever said Kyo needs to write more vocal melodies. A lot of these songs bounce off me because the weird vocals are coming in at the wrong time. More singing please!
I really like the bass tone. Wanted to put some positivity out there.
Vendetta would fit better before a humble border. Probably one of the better tracks for metal vocals but shouldn’t come at the end. Maybe extend Mickey another four bars and end on the root note.
Also, Kyo has done inward screams before. The only time I recall it happening on a recording was at the end of Gaika, I believe.
He’s just inhaling in a dramatic and audible way between screaming to make it sound like he’s “charging up” for the screams.
Has done some inhaled noises as sound effects but certainly not harshly or frequently enough to be the cause of his vocal issues.
Nah, they’re definitely inward screams, not just dramatic inhales.
You’re talking about between the (exhaled) screams right? Not the whole section at the end?
The sound is closer to whispering than screaming. If you want to count creepy sounding gasping as “screams” then okay I guess. But generally when people talk about inhaled vocals in metal they’re talking about something that sounds much different that people use to sing whole songs on inhale.
He does it here in Mazohyst of Decadence in 1999 (at other points in the song as well).
Damn Yukihiro is not playing around with those pants 1.20 in the second video. Those are some HUGE ass pants.
What is your take on them? Do you like them? Do you think they are too big? Sorry to ask such specific questions but I am literally blown away by them. Not trolling or trying to be funny. I seriously love those pants, they are huge not gonna lie.
It’s a lot of big personalities who have produced a lot more than TLR so there’s that. I like what they’re doing now more then the earlier stuff and I wish Kyo differentiated his voice between projects I.e. more rapping please.
He’s got some load limit to work with.
The next Hiroshi Kyono oh yeah!
