Is it just me now or would anyone else prefer Kyo to develop a singing style that is more unique to this band than all that Dir en grey-ish growly / half-grunty thing (as it was mentioned above by several users) he just did for BATMAN and Vendetta? I’d say even Mad Capsule Markets-like half-rapping on “Don’t Forget” is much more preferable at this point, come to think of it.

I could go for some more rap.
I don’t think dog band needs catchy vocal hooks and choruses, because Kyo does that in two other bands already. This band is more about five cool boys playing around with the kinds of sounds they like, but nothing has really set them over the edge for me yet.

The thing for me then is that its too generic in the genre. Do you know (not trying to sound smart) how many similar sounding releases are pumped out every week (to make it easy - just all kind of screaming with heavy instrumentals and no melodic/catchy hook)? Probably more than a thousand in only the states. If this was an unknown new band’s debut single, I am pretty sure that only a few, -to no one would care at all. The only reason why anyone would add these new songs to their spotify list is because of the members. Imagine that you didn’t hear it yet and you randomly found it on spotify by a missclick, would you… care or instantly forget? Be honest to me now 
About Kyo developing another way to sing… Hm… No, I would say you have already gotten everything he has to offer at this point. Do people want him to like… start rapping?

Kyo is if I’m correct considered to be the father of adidas kei, and mommy-kei as well (mommy issues). Does he deserve to add the title “the father of dog-kei”?
Well I understand if some find that to be a controversial statement.
Definitely a harsher take than I would have. But not invalid. I probably would skip Vendetta easily. I think he is totally capable of making a unique vocal style for PB that isn’t just growling. I already felt in their debut that he was at least singing slightly different from Dir en Grey. The recent stuff I just don’t know.
Honestly preferable.

They’re seemingly pushing for western expansion. A discord entirely in English and several posts in English on social media and a live listening party in about half an hour where the band might be lurking and it’s not an ungodly hour.

Too bad I missed it. If I was on the East Coast I might actually be awake for that. But I’m not an early riser. (7am is too early for me haha)
You didn’t miss anything, they just played through the EP once and then some minutes of merch ads until midnight.
