The '20s really can’t give it a rest. I feel in this last one and a half year I heard more shit happening than in all of the 2010s combined.

It’s because our attention spans and the news cycle have gotten to unprecedented levels of information overload so we can’t pay attention thanks to TikTok and we’re getting mental and emotional whiplash from the constantly changing news stories. If they keep us worked up and unable to think straight we’re more likely to fall for stuff we normally wouldn’t if we had a calm and even state of mind like say, lockdowns, vaccines, or how they’re trying now but it’s failing; boosters for variants of covid that are very contagious which means much less deadly and telling people to mask up again because “experts” say so.

Today it’s Abe, tomorrow it’ll be Ukraine and covid variants, next week it’s a new shooting, next month is recession.

Wth is up with these spam texts? How dumb do they think the people they’re messaging are??? The messages are probably automated but I can at least try to have a bit of fun.

I think more people need to touch grass, like seriously.

We would be better served by the fact that everyone is out to make a buck and many are willing to screw you over in the process mentally and by extension, physiologically. Media companies have outsmarted many in the mental game of bluff where if you don’t like traditional media they’re happy to direct you over to the conspiratorial stuff just to retain your attention. They have something for everyone. And like a game of ‘Dizzy Bat’, when you finally catch yourself and find something is up, you’re too dizzy to know which direction you’re going in because “truth” doesn’t mean anything anymore. But once you stop with the personalized media feed junk, opinion-pieces, and go with public access/funded plus actually get up to talk to people, the vast majority are a lot less unhinged than you think they are.

These companies need to be regulated so we can sober up as a people, or it’s going to get a hell of a lot worse. I’m not absolving personal responsibility, because the things that are out there are still at base-level a reflection of what we are and the things we want, but most people would find it near-impossible to pry off the hyperbolic lenses they have right now.

The guy killed Abe because it was personal and he believed that he had a connection to a certain religious organization.

Am I crazy for getting mildly frustrated when a band never wears their own merch on stage or off stage?

Boris make me want to start collecting vinyl because the designs are so sick. Gotta buy another vinyl to MP3 player/converter.

Is this from dead dead demons?

Good eye! It isn’t Dead Dead Demons, but it’s another of Asano’s works called “Downfall”

Getting my tounge Split was one of the best decisions I did.

It would be assumed that the infection risk would be massive, but maybe not.

What’s the oldest band (in terms of when they formed) you’ve seen live? Someone from the proto-kei era?

There’s a theory going around that Abe had a terminal illness and wanted to go out with honor and solidify his party’s position on top for the foreseeable future. I mean they dominated the upper house election yesterday so if it’s all chance they lucked out. :man_shrugging:

Well, sure there is. Just as with every open wound/piercing and else - but it dosn’t need long to heal anyway, 10-14 days depending on the person, so if u do at least basic hygine routine there isn’t big of a chance to catch an infection imo.

Just went to a shop that accused the SO of stealing and she went to plead her innocence and this being the country they proceeded to scream and threaten us before we left and they threw something at my car. Murica.

A question I came up with while driving: does anyone know of any rarez that were released on floppy discs?
