Ever since I moved to The Netherlands, I’ve been grappling with seasonal depression like a muthafucka. Where I come from is warm and reasonably sunny, so having to deal with it being dark and cold for months on end (in addition to the relentless rain) certainly has an impact on my spirit. So I can somewhat relate to what you’re experiencing.
I’m glad you see a silver lining in it all, though. Don’t beat yourself up…seasons come and go, and this will certainly pass.

I dunno what the YT algo is doing, but I like the fact that the youngins are getting into early-'00s visual novel soundtracks even though they’re just labeling it “Frutiger Aero” (which kinda works.) Feeling a bit more validated after going down the rabbit-hole myself almost 15 years ago with Baldr Sky, Key, nekonekosoft, Sprite, and the I’ve Sound girls.
Erm, just hope they don’t look up the actual visual novel plots >_>.
**Now that I remember, the guy behind the Orisinal flash games sourced some of his OSTs from JP stuff. Bless flash games and Newgrounds.

this is what I call a masterpiece of dark fantasy anime. the plot is like a twist after twist, the CVs are as awesome as if it’s like burning money, the gore is at okayish level, but the art isn’t that bad. 10/10
a bad edgy daydream? well, at least some of you guys can’t even dream.
Whenever I invest the proper time and energy to pour into my family, I always think that there are few things more rewarding than that, if any. I have no relationships that are as beautifully reciprocal as those with my wife and kids, and it’s a blessing.
Sometimes I get so focused on the things that i’m doing and the things that I need to get done that I forget this.

So I heard you like forks:
- Looks like the TachiyomiSY (a more nsfw-leaning fork) dev will start creating a “spiritual successor” called “Mihon”. In all likelihood it’ll be an advanced fork (or potentially something from the ground up) that strips any “Tachiyomi” branding along with some drastic aesthetic changes.
TachiyomiSY will continue! I will be basing the fork on a new Tachiyomi spiritual successor called Mihon. This only means that I will grab fixes and changes from Mihon, TachiyomiSY will keep its name and everything associated.
- “Neko” in some ways already did that a while back with their fork of Tachiyomi. They were smart in not linking upstream to the original app, and they silently removed all references to “tachiyomi” on their repo. App is a lot different aesthetically, but a bit more resource-intensive.
