i work in healthcare, and to heal, i let myself sometimes i have “unhinged” nights. these are nights where i just go absolutely insane and listen to my weird inner thoughts. they’re actually really harmless and are just “listen to all the 1990s r&b”” “watch terriblr horror movies” “eat 15 soft tacos from taco bell” most of the time!! the most extreme is “cry while listening to mandy moore” and “watch requiem for a dream”
tonight the weird thoughts are “buy and eat 1.5lb / .7kg of crab, drink 2 bottles of that soju in your fridge and eat a rotisserie chicken in the shower, and listen to nothing but what youtube says is ‘menhera’”
it is now 1:10am and i am angrily picking up bone fragments from the bathtub. why did i do this.

weather service I’m using for like 10+ years has a consistent shitty habit of downplaying the heat (cold in winter) in their 10 days++ predictions
that week of non-stop rain they promised on sept 1st? it’s now just one day, and the rest is moved a week ahead, with much hotter daytime weather; I’m gonna start pulling tarot cards at this rate instead bc. the science™ can’t stop disappointing

I’ve listened to some Mastodon today and yesterday (Emperor of Sand continues to be an insanely solid album) and even though Brent Hinds had already officially left the group I can’t imagine what kind of music they’ll put out in the future… His voice was such a huge part of their songs and it hurts that now there isn’t even a possibility of a reunion in the future.
