Back in the day missing out was the norm. We all missed out together. We took what information we could and cherished it. We didn’t have direct interactions with band members like we do today, much less access to all the new releases the day of. We were disconnected and we knew it and we enjoyed what we had.
These days new fans have a much more intimate experience with the scene and it’s sad to see it’s not enough. People can’t enjoy visual kei apparently without having to enjoy it more than others. A small group of people seem to be competing for top fan and I don’t understand what the prize is. Being a fan IS the prize.
Anyway I had to ban one idiot for starting problems today so thanks for the heads-up.
Makes you really wonder if they do enjoy what vk has to offer or just want to be admired by others.
Like, I was a teenager as well, so I do understand that sometimes it’s nice to feel a bit special because idk you have rares that not many people own. But when people tell wild lies like this, I wonder if they really do care about the music to begin with or if they just like to brag.
Also it goes without saying that if your first post on the forum is “shut the fuck up lying bitch” with no context then I’m going to ban you. I don’t even care if you’re correct - you best come correct to the forum or don’t come at all.
Yeah, current fans today maybe don’t understand just how accessible everything has become.
It just irritates me when I see people misusing that accessibility to chase drama on purpose or to treat band guys like they’re some kind of AI chat bot.
The Japanese fandom certainly isn’t innocent, but foreigners tend to be singled out for making etiquette mistakes more often, so the standard of behaviour kind of has to be higher for us. We should be above the Tanuki style BS, but apparently not.
i propose we start launching jro liars out of cannons to japan. if they survive the impact they can work to build themselves up in the scene with only the clothes on their backs
