@heresytrash SNS like Instagram synchronizes with Facebook / GPS doesn’t it? Tbh I shut down my IG as I didn’t want my boss to see my newest kpop purchases / cosplays / whatever 
You know when you want to watch a concert but it’s only on bilibili … and it doesn’t load properly … 
My public isn’t connected to my fb, and even then I have him blocked there. He viewed one of my stories without having followed me so something tells me he’s snooping. I usually don’t care but he’s disgusting as a person so I’d rather keep him away orz
Yeah, I don’t connect accounts either and yet I kept getting unwanted recs in some apps. Even my Twitter is priv only nowadays because once my account was synchro’d even though I always refuse when prompted.

if he has your phone number saved in his phone, IG would share it.
IG will toss you ppl if you ever verified your acc from a phone number even if you switch sim cards later for like relocation, it started doing this around five years ago, or so?
we had a long talk about it with girlies on another board, a lot of them confirmed it doesn’t give a damn about your privacy anymore.
It is only a matter of time before you’ll have to pay extra for privacy.

I would argue Apple’s already taking that stance. Apple’s been touting their security advantages for a while now and use that to justify their prices.
