The biggest downgrade I’ve seen in a while. I have understood that Teru was responsible for this, and I can barely believe it.
Like the new “V” logo is good, but the band name looks like it came out of Microsoft Word on font Arial.

I like it, particularly the horizontal stippling pattern on that V, but it looks so bla-a-a-a-a-a-and, and why a sans-serif font?
it would have made sense if they wanted to move forward from their past as a bunch of gothic sentimental vampires sucking on sugared rose petals, but literally reading Kamijo’s bullshit billboard interview the other day assured me that’s not the case, and they’re always ready to flaunt how tacky and over the top they are.

It would have been funny as a meme, but I thought about it and realized it’s not a good idea.
If we actually tried organizing it as a staff that would reveal personal information about us that would not have been to the benefit of MH. MH was a big J-Rock community but also a pirate’s den. The two were inseparable. Also, hypothetically, if I bought it and exercised total control over the rights to their music, then there are a lot of unknown unknowns that come with that. Things I don’t have the energy to deal with while simultaneously dealing with a language barrier. The complexity scales poorly when you add more people into the mix. Everyone who chips in is gonna want a say. I don’t think there’s a table round enough for all of us who would have potentially chipped in LOL.
So yeah, cool idea to think about but it wouldn’t have gone well IMO.

We’ve seen that people have been comparing you guys to video game characters. As an example, Sena is often associated with the character Lightning from Final Fantasy XIII. Many of your group photos look like scenes straight out of an action game as well. Could you explain where your visual concept comes from and did video games influence it?
Sena: More than choosing a specific visual concept, I would say we naturally arrived at our current form by simply continuing our activities as a band. I enjoy creating an image that’s separate from reality, just like movies or games, so it’s probably a natural evolution.
