REITA (the GazettE) passed away 4/15/2024

I can’t …
I don’t know what to say but feel the urge to do.
They are my most favorite band and I can’t believe it.
Not with his last tweet … and … I can’t believe it.
He’s just been a bit younger than me and …
Sorry.

Filth in the beauty was the second vk song I ever heard. RIP, this is extremely sad

Then you should have said that, because you said “the biggest loss since hide”.

If you are a big Gazette fan, I get that you might feel this way, but claiming that Atsushi, Jasmine You or Daisuke didn’t have a big influence on the scene is wild.

I still think it’s weird to value one person’s life over another one. If you are a fan of X, the death of X will hit you hard. If you are a fan of Y, the death of Y will hit you hard. Not even to mention family and friends of the deceased person.

Gazette was the first vkei band I was ever exposed to, and I always thought Reita was so cool and mysterious with his iconic noseband…RIP king👑

I can only say that when it’s illness, they more of less always write it. This time they just wrote he passed away.

Well, in either way damn… Please tell me it’s a delayed terrible April’s fool joke…

Question.
what is the place then? Should another topic be opened or just talk about it privately?

keep it private for now.
and give people a chance to grief first

Rest In Peace Reita. The Gazette was one of my first visual kei bands, and Reita was my favorite. His look was iconic, he was funny and the heart of the gazette. Im so heart broken. I hope the guys and his family can get through this. Im especially keeping uruha in my thoughts since they were childhood best friends. You will be missed, Reita.

Well that came out of nowhere. By no means my favourite band, but still an undeniably influential one and one of my early VK gateways.

Natural to be curious as to what happened given how out of the blue it was, but I suppose they’ll announce things in due course.

psc/tomomi are very quiet when it comes to band members and their personal situations; she has confirmed that Isshi from kaggra, indeed took his own life several years after the fact, but she doesn’t even give interviews anymore at all, so just being respectful of the situation whenever this was a disease taking over, a spontaneous accident, or his choice, and not speculating probably would be for the best. it’s none of anyone’s personal business in the fandom.

they lost two members in two years (I kinda count yune as a part of the band even if they parted ways fairly early), and i’d imagine this hits the other members the hardest, considering they’re on a deadline for the next release.

It’s so abrupt and sad… like many here the GazettE was one of my very first vk bands and one I listen the most at high school and ofc one of my favorite. Even if sometimes i could be more or less into it I never stoped following them and their releases.

It’s very hard to conceive the band without one of them, on my side, it was one of those bands you are attached to every one, as they all have big charisma I mean you know at least every band member’s name which is not the case for every band.

Anyway Gazette aside, regardless of their future, it’s too soon, it’s just sad on it’s own.
May he rest in peace, so young, damn….

I don’t know what to say. Gazette has always been important to me, even if I distanced myself throughout periods of knowing them.

It’s shocking and surreal and sudden. It hits close to home. I can’t imagine the band without their usual formation.

I can only send gazette, staff and fans the strength to get through this :disappointed:
