I had this suspicion for a while, but a few weeks I confirmed that S.S.H. either is or was a part of Hellion Sounds. If you listen closely, you can tell by the guitar tone and the level of skill displayed. But if you compare the two artists side by side, S.S.H. has a lot of demos that got turned into Hellion Sounds arranges.

This arrange of SMT I + II was featured in Hellion Sound’s SMT Medley:

There’s another SMT Boss arrange that S.S.H. did called ‘真・女神転生デビルサマナー / ボスバトル’, which was featured for free download on his site way back when. It’s very similar to the Hellion Sounds arrange of the same title.

S.S.H. also did an arrangement of Daedalus from SMT II which was arranged on “Last Floor” by Hellion Sounds:

I think this is enough to prove my point.

I feel like these are almost the exact same song. The structure, the vocals, the bassline, and the little lead guitar melodies are so similar.

The opening/main lead guitar melody in this DER ZIBET song…

…sounds like it could be an homage to David Bowie. :star:

Not sure if this is old news but the 1st verse vocal melody in deadman’s “monster tree” sounds similar to the one in “And I Love Her” by the Beatles.

The bridge instrumentals in Genocidal Humanoidz by SOAD sounds exactly like the main riff from Nightmare’s Gianizm Tsuu ~Shougai Minagoroshii~
