ever since I started listening to the original recording of Velvet my brain just autocompletes with Ai no Uta and I am not good enough at instruments to figure out why. It could be just a side effect of listening to Ai no Uta too much the past months or because it’s a generic enough riff or something else lol please clarify

Oh my god! I love deadman, but I’ve never heard of Boa. Anyway, it makes sense. deadman are fans of alt rock and they’ve said that they often base their songwriting on music that they like. Anyway I just love deadman so much

Oh Aya! One of the rare female singers that i deigned to listen with Kuroneko of Onmyoza. She had a very grunge voice like Kurt Cobain moreover yeah.

This one eluded me for about twenty minutes. I could hear the same refrain in Kyo’s voice and I could not track down the song. But I knew I heard it before!
And then it hit me.

Yeah you can hear that it is a copy, the guitar and bass is legit the exact same as 架空ト現実・・・ by La:Sadie’s. I do not think it is a copy and that they covered it actually. Kinda similar to how Ru:natic “Reimagined” everything.
For example this exact song got covered by Ru:natic too and they just called the song 黒薔薇族ノ招待状, while on their album memory they remade the song when Kijin became vocalist and just called it 黒薔薇族ノ招待状 鏖.
Decided to add my own findings to this also
In the Larm†Madul’e vocalist’s 1st band Eremia the vocalist made the song 宵話の宴げ which then would be remade completely and then later used on the Larm†Madul’e demotape 「呪縛葬劇」～九日目ノ貴女へ… the title of the song would be changed for the release and would be named 眠れぬ棺の中で…(雪ふる聖夜…)
The song name on the youtube video is incorrect along with the cover they used

心臓 by MARVELOUS CRUELTY basically uses the same exact riff from Unknown…Despair…a lost. Damn, this riff has serious mileage.
